Sure. And once he transferred to Newcastle, Man City would blow them out the water.

Dog eats dog. There is always bigger fish.

And as many transfers to PSG have shown, the richest club is not always the best option.

It's not a defence of Newcastle or Man City. But we do to Brentford what Man City do to us. It's just a different scale, but the same sport.

With all due respect to you but the Arab world is run by the Saud family so Man City’s owners will only get Newcastle players that the Saud’s no longer want.

Apparently bid 100m for Mudryk now! Didn’t they buy Madueke yesterday?

How many players have they got in their squad?

Think it was just a bid. And so far it’s been 20 in and 20 out for these two transfer windows. It’s like they’re playing FIFA.

arsenal spend months negotiating then chelsea swoop in with a better offer and get the deal wrapped up. that's pretty funny to be fair

arsenal have a real chance to win the league and miss out on their top target because they want to save a few mil, forgetting that other clubs also have money. very silly

Bid accepted ! .. you see. If you have the money as a midtable team you can compete for the best players

8 year contract according to Romano.

If some of these new players don’t work out, they’ll be hanging around Chelsea’s training ground for almost a decade!!

So I guess for a super league team FFP doesn't apply. How much have they spent in the last 12 months?

Someone posted above that they’ve also sold or released 20 players in the last 7 months so they’ll have freed up a lot of wages.

They also hadn’t bought anyone during their transfer ban which was during the current FFP period.

They are also going with longer contracts so they can spread the cost over many years.

8th highest revenue in the world also gives them a lot of leeway.

Benefiting from the loophole in the rules regards takeovers basically wiping out the FFP limits. Insane the money spent with so little sales.

How does this loophole work exactly?
