Now that there’s a shark in goldfish bowl, maybe there’s no option BUT to fix it. Every club should have the same annual budget for players and wages. Spend it how you see fit. Ultimately it’s the fans that pay for spiralling costs of wages and transfer fees. So get it under control now. If the annual budget for wages was £50m, it would end the player/agent greed. Newcastle will be a new team competing at the top of the premier league to freshen up the Sky 6. Its ideal. It means the premier league will continue to be by far the most watched league in the world and La Liga and Serie A will continue to decline. The premier league will be the super league soon. And as many transfers to PSG have shown, the richest club is not always the best option. It's not a defence of Newcastle or Man City. But we do to Brentford what Man City do to us.
