I’m allowed to buy 1 album per month.

This one is August 2026.

It’s a decent album for a soundtrack but I can’t help thinking they could easily have put all the tracks on one slab of vinyl without any loss of audio quality. The 7” seems gimmicky because it’s an RSD release to bump the price, the tracks aren’t wildly different in style.

I’ll wager in a far off galaxy when this eventually gets rereleased (about 2 years from now) in swirly magenta it'll be a single album.

Having said that, I like it and it is substantially different to a Goat album proper

Yeah agreed.

Different in a very acceptable way. Easy listening Goat.

I suspect the faff of the single will mean that rarely gets much play.

Exceptional album.

Indeed. Big RT fan. I have a ton of his albums and I feel an overdue deep revisit about to set in. Though have to do it when my wife is out, she’s not a huge fan 😀

He used to come around here almost yearly, either in Chico where I live or Sacramento, but it’s been a while. Seen him live a lot but not in past 5-6 years

My wife isnt a fan but I like him a lot. The title track from that album is one of my all time favourites.

Kling Klang - The Esthetik of Destruction

Much sought after Mersey Krautrock inspired experimentalists. This is actually a compilation of singles released long after the fact by Rock Action. A Ltd edition of 500. Obscure as hell. Obviously inspired by Kraftwerk, Neu! And Philip Glass

Been enjoying the new Libertines album.

Nothing spectacular, but more of what they were always good at - fast-paced, self-deprecating singalongs.

Never going to trouble the scorers on my all-time favourite list, but right now it's both new and nostalgic, and sometimes that's all you need.

Mind Over Mirrors - Bellowing Sun

Double album of trippy, electronic and acoustic soundscapey soundtrack (there are vocals) to an art exhibition at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art

Wish I'd seem the exhibition tbh, this was just a random purchase a few years ago but it is most excellent and something I come back to quite regularly.

Ore -Andrea Belfi

Italian percussionist. This guy is amazing, he’s one of those percussionists that plays everything you hear, there are lots of samples fired in from his kit, it’s very trippy sounding electronica but he’s a drummer essentially. This album is absolutely amazing. I searched for a good while to find this as once I’d heard a couple of tracks I just had to have it.

In relation to the above, this is him playing one of the tracks live. On my list of people I want to see but never have
