packoman
Oh, and I never played this, but it sounds amazing. You need to be able to listen to YouTube for about ten minutes, but this sounds **** amazing. It's three minutes of setup before it gets going, but the payoff is worth it. That sounds brilliant. NowDoINotLikeThat
Street Fighter 2 (and most of its variations - reckon Alpha 3 might have been still the best) Resident Evil 2 GTA Vice City Resident Evil
Chindie Posted April 5, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted April 5, 2011 Not Mass Effect 2, it's too recent! Ok Computer was first considered one of the best albums ever only months after release. Quality doesn't need time to shine out or garner a patina to embellish its greatness.
legov
Granted, but that's not always the case. Golden age syndrome.
Rodders
best opening post, EVER. As it happens I've been playing alot of the revamped Goldeneye on the Wii at the moment and it's excellent fun - once you get past the slight fact they upgraded all the characters etc. Banjo Kazooie was also a whole lot of brilliance. Goldeneye Zelda: Ocarina of Time Banjo Kazooie Super Smash Bros Gran Turismo ( PSone ) - starting off with that Mazda 8) Virtua Fighter Golden Axe Streets of Rage Prince of Persia ( Mega Drive ) Alex Kidd in Miracle World Theme Park Sim Tower Command and Conquor Age of Empires

Rino8 Posted April 5, 2011 Visiting Supporter Share Posted April 5, 2011 Mario Kart 64, Fifa 98, Vice City. Likely forgetting one or two, but those stick out in my head. I'm with Rev on Goldeneye, it's aged horribly to a point of I can't even find it enjoyable from a nostalgic point of view, still was an excellent game at the time though. itdoesntmatterwhatthissay
Dunno, depends... New Zealand Story on my Amiga was special, Simon the Sorcerer was iconic, Half-Life etc lasted the longest and Oblivion changed my perspective on RPGs... But where does a man put his numerous copies of Football Manager...
NowDoINotLikeThat
Goldeneye 4 player license to kill was brilliant at the time...but yes first person shooters have come a very long way since then. Not played the remake on the Wii and tbh would rather not.
