Isa
Solid again today, like last week.Thought he was a liability? He was until the last couple of matches. Fair play to him for raising his game.
AVTuco Posted March 2, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted March 2, 2014 Getting better and better. Justifying his selection ahead of Clark atm I don't know. I don't see why Clark was benched.
Big_John_10
Yeah played well again. So committed with every header and every tackle. If we could combine Clark and Baker into one player we would have a really good player.
StanBalaban
Getting better and better. Justifying his selection ahead of Clark atm I don't know. I don't see why Clark was benched. I'm guessing it's because Baker is right footed. Playing Vlaar and Clark together pairs two left footed CB's together.Yeah played well again. So committed with every header and every tackle. If we could combine Clark and Baker into one player we would have a really good player. It's the beard BJ. A proper beard it is too!
Villarocker
Getting better and better. Justifying his selection ahead of Clark atm I don't know. I don't see why Clark was benched. Same for me. Clark was better of the two whenever Vlaar has been out and Baker was still a liability today for their goal.

You never know, perhaps in a few years time the two of them separately might be a good combination in our defence.
Pilchard
Have given him a lot of stick this season. I stand by it - he's been awful at times his year. However, it's only fair to praise when he deserves it. Struggled with Hoolahan in first 15 minutes but dominated the air superbly after that. He was very good today. bobzy
I still prefer Clark over him - Baker is a bit too rash for me. Has stepped up well though so fair play.

Cliffy Biro
Was good today, one bizarre moment towards the end where he completely committed just past the half way line and it almost cost us but other than that cant fault him today.
Brumstopdogs
He's done better in recent weeks and deserved to keep his place. Likes a challenge!
VillaChris
He usually plays well against the physical teams who just like to lump it forward. Gets found out against quick pacy forwards so let's see how he does in the Manchester games and v Chelsea. I think Clark was unlucky to lose his place tbh as on the whole he's been better than Baker this year.
Electric Avenue
Clark and Baker are both youngsters we need to keep and not sell off on the cheap. We made that mistake with Cahill let's not repeat that

The_Lions_Roar
He's fault was commuting himself to a challebege where he's never going to get near the ball. If he can cut this out then he's a decent defender. Thought he played better after he got studded across the chest, seemed to get him up for the battle.
