nobler
CaulkinTheTimes Pretty sure that the Stephen Ireland loan to #NUFC is, indeed, off. Medical reasons. #AVFC
claret75
Rumours that the deal is off. No truth in the rumours that another Granny Ireland has died Any reasons as to why Gazton? Despite the conspiracy theories, he is actually injured. Newcastle seem to have realised that he wouldn't be able to do a running test during his medical and have asked to restructure the loan deal to reflect this. Wouldn't they have known he wouldn't be able to do do the run test prior to the medical?

Wouldn't they have known he wouldn't be able to do do the run test prior to the medical? You'd have thought so, wouldn't you? Then again, this is NUFC we're talking about. There's a possibility they knew this and are now playing a game of brinksmanship to see if Villa blink on the wage structure.
Shillzz
Think they will have to give way a bit. With Warnock seeminly staying put, we really need to get Ireland off the books for a few months if he isnt going to be playing.
beasley14
Newcastle really are a bunch of tools, surely it was obvious he wasn't going to be able to the running test.

PompeyVillan
Well Newcastle are about to net £35million for Carroll, if they want to haggle over wages Gerard should tell them as politely as possible to suck him plums for half an hour, then refuse their offer. Piss takers.

AshVilla
Could be a blessing in disguise at least now he will need to work his ass off to get back into our team otherwise face the alternative of doing **** all for 6 months what team would want him then
GaztonVilla
Carroll transfer request means NUFC "reluctantly" accept Liverpool's offer of £35m. AVFC are right to dig their heels in about the financial element of the Ireland loan agreement, IMO.

sellyoakvilla
In the same way that teams are playing hardball with us since we popped up with 19m out of nowhere, we have the right to say to Newcastle now:"You have 35m + 30k wages a week off your books, you pay Ireland's wages for the rest of the season". Wol.
why would they want to loan an injuryed player? loans are meant for short term cover of injuryed players!!
uncy_chris
**** a duck - Carroll for £35-40m is the most mental purchase ever. I'd have taken £15m if I was Newcastle. Anyway, if Carroll does leave, you'd think Newcastle will do all they can to get Ireland in because they won't have time for much else.
