AVFC-Prideofbrum
What a bunch of dicks, Torres has shown absolute loyalty to Liverpool over the last 3 seasons or so and now they're having a bash at him on RAWK, they seem to have forgotten last summer. Eh, so he didn't ditch them then...he's treated like a king up there, paid handsomely, and they have a shot at a Europa League spot. They also just bought the hottest young striker in world football. What is so bad? Finish the season strong, and wait to see what players are brought in over the summer. Because a player career is so short. He's won nothing at Liverpool. In fact, he's won nothing in his club career. He's 27 in march. Liverpool aren't going to be in the CL next season so by the end of next season, he's 28....IF they get in which is a massive if given all the competition, he could be playing CL football by 29 at best. Are Liverpool honestly going to win that much in the next 2/3 years? I don't think so. Chelsea are having a bad patch but are still more likely to win a lot more in the coming in Torres prime years. Torres is 27 soon and hasn't won anything at club level...surely as a player, as one of the worlds best, you have to have ambitions to win things? 21/22 is different but he's coming into prime years now and needs to win things. Sure Glaston would tell us how he's the next Ronaldo, and in fact, although people have said it's £23 million, it's only £7 million.
ED
Bent 18-24 mill, Carroll 23 mill?, Torres 40 mill?, Suarez 22 mill, the transfer window has gone mental, Jan is usually quiet isn't it?

KAZZAM
I find it hard to believe Spurs have that much money to spunk on Carroll,Especially when they need to sell atleast 5/6 players wich they cant seem to get rid of as there squad has become bloated. will87
I don't know what's more absurd, someone bidding £23m for Andy Carroll, or Newcastle rejecting it.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
If Newcastle sell him they'll go down. Most of their goals come from the Carroll/Nolan partnership.
dont_do_it_doug.
Did anyone mention the Baggies signing Carlos Vela on loan last night? Could be handy, maybe similar to Odemwinge but they keep the ball on the deck.

rosenthal
Keane having medical at West Ham. £1m loan fee with option to buy apparently. Similar deal for O'Hara who's in talks with Wolves. Dnipro from Ukraine, where Juande Ramos is now manager, are trying to get a deal done for Giovani as well.

TrentVilla Posted January 30, 2011 Moderator Share Posted January 30, 2011 If I were in charge at Chelsea I wouldn't up the bid I'd stick the same offer in again as no way Liverpool want Torres hanging around the rest of the season.
