For those that have not pre ordered and will be buying on the day...

MCV can reveal that leading UK games retailer GAME will be selling Call of Duty: Black Ops on day one for £24.99.

The price will be available to anyone who buys the game in conjunction with any other in-store chart title on either Xbox 360 or PS3.

In addition, the game will also be available to purchase for £24.99 outright if any of the following titles are traded in – Halo: Reach, Dead Rising 2, F1 2010 or FIFA 11.

In Gamestation an extra £5 of store credit will be given to anyone who trades two titles against a purchase of Black Ops. That means any consumers swapping two recent triple-A games will likely be getting the game for nothing, and possibly receive some store credit on top.

In an extra deal, Black Ops will cost just £20 when bought alongside an Xbox 360 4GB console.

All three deals will run until Sunday November 14th.

“We’ve got more games, and specifically more copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops, than anyone else and we’re also offering the biggest range of deals offering fantastic value," trading director for GAME and Gamestation Adam Davis stated.

"We know our customers are dedicated to gaming and we are reflecting that passion in our deals for this amazing title.”

GAME’s Oxford Street store will be one of over 400 to hold a midnight opening for the game’s release on Monday night. Signed posters from the Treyarch development team will be up for grabs, as well as 500 goodie bags for those who buy the game.

Yesterday MCV confirmed that HMV will be selling the game for just £7.99 when punters trade in EA’s Medal of Honor.

There are also rumours doing the rounds that Sainsbury’s and Morrisons will be selling the game on day one for £25, though MCV has not been able to confirm this as of yet.

So that's not £24.99 then, is it?

Yeah i really didnt like the attack dogs too... they were so annoying. Cant escape the little feckers...
Attack dogs were easy to escape in WaW. All you had to do was camp in a corner somewhere and mow them down with an SMG.

yeah i have. its good, in fact its very good. but its much of the same really. short campaign (though i found it to offer a bit more than mw2 even if it has a stupid story). online isnt exactly hugely populated, so it doesnt have the same appeal as it will when it hits shelves.

if you want the best in mp fps play then pick it up, you'll know exactly what youre getting and you'll love it (maybe aside from the attack dogs perk :P), but if, like me, you're getting a little sick of the whole online shooter thing with feck all originality or innovation, maybe skip this one

i will say though, i can see the wager games being very popular

I pre-ordered it today against my best judgement. If its ballz I'll blame you :P. Got it for £27 including delivery cos I had a £9 voucher for Amazon. I'm sure I'll get my 27 quid's worth at least.

Excellent. Killstreaks don't stack.

If you want to send the dogs out you need 11 kills with your weapons (Grenade, guns etc...). Killstreak kills don't count towards it

That is such a good thing, UAV is now the best killstreak in the game.

Yup. About time it had some purpose really. Might make people want to camp more though with them not wanting to die and get their kills up though.

Maybe, but camping for 11 kills trying to do your best not to die takes a long time, people will get sick of it. My biggest killstreaks seem to be when I go stupidly offensive, I got an 11 killstreak playing TDM charging in with a desert eagle once, probably wouldn't have done it if I camped, I'll also never do it again in my entire life, but still.

Having a look at the perks, they've even made the shit ones fairly half decent. Tactical Mask Pro allows you to see the location of an enemy if you throw a flash/concussion grande and get a hit marker (I presume that means they'll show up on the radar as a red dot?) as well as concussion/flash grandes not affecting you very well.

Then Flak Jacket reduces explosive damage which isn't all that great, but the Pro version makes you immune to fire and allows you to toss frag grenades back safely, so they won't blow up as you pick them up. Still not great perks overall, but at least they're not completely useless like half the perks in previous games.

It shows up as a yellow marker on your crosshairs in the direction the player is.

I remember playing a few games with you before.

You were quite efficient at getting the EMP up and going.

Oh yeah can remember that, that was maybe about.. 10 months ago? You've gone to the dark side since haven't you?

It's almost too easy to get 11 killstreak by camping... I dont really bother that method anymore, but I dont get half the Choopers I used to get now either.
11 straight kills? using no killstreaks to boost it?

Yeah an 11 kill streak on Black Ops will be mighty tough. Probably about the equivilent of getting a Nuke on MW2. I usually only got around 11/13 actually kills on all my Nukes, the rest were Harrier/Chopper/AC-130 kills.
