Designer1 Posted April 21, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted April 21, 2011 Question for the throbbing VT film collective; is Darabont's "The Mist" worth watching? Definately!!!! The black and white version (of the Darabont reboot) is awesome! What theboyangel said. I enjoyed the colour version, but the B/W version is how Darabont envisaged it originally (50's style monster/horror). It's also worth watching for Marcia Gay Harden's performance alone. Oh, and that ending of course.
BOF Posted April 21, 2011 Moderator Share Posted April 21, 2011 Ending was superb and not what I expected. But we'll leave further discussion until Gareth has seen it

GarethRDR
Ha, sounds good. I'll wheel in someone to play a Chaplin-esque piano soundtrack whilst I watch the flick for maximum effect.

NowDoINotLikeThat
watched Machete last night - wasn't expecting much (which was just as well!!!) Fun for the first 20 mins or so ..then is bit like change the **** record mate. Wonder if Rodriguez and Tarrantino will ever one day snap out of making pretend B movies . They seem stuck in a rut. NowDoINotLikeThat
I'd recommend "Network" Wont be for everyone but literally one my fave films ever . Truely brilliant film - cast and script wise - a slowburner of a film someways but also (considering when was made) a disturbingly prophetic one. And course Sidney Lamet recently died RIP. CVByrne
Yeah Princess Monokoe is brilliant, seen that a few times. My Neighbour Totoro is another great Miyazaki movie. I thought Howls moving castle was good but not amazing.
