If he did or he instructed the boy to throw it that's taking things way too far. Win at any cost. Not in the spirit of the game. Not sure he an Premier League club would go for him now. Too risky!

Another obligatory hard fought win for Atletico there, could tell how much they put into the Bayern game as they were really flagging for last 10 minutes.

Still 3 points and pressure back on Barca. No margin for error in the last 3 for them I'd suggest.

No I turned it off and switched back on to see the Suarez goal. Which takes him to 35 so should now be the first player other than Ronaldo and Messi to win the Pichichi since 2009

Ah...it was a joke goal, the first one. Adan ex real madrid keeper which makes it more amusing.

Getting lively at the bottom....can't quite believe Rayo are back in the bottom 3 as they've been picking up some good results last 3 months. Luckily they have an insurance game at home to Levante last day who will be long gone by then. Gijon and Granada (came from 0-2 down to win last night) have massively picked up now but Granada's last two are away to Sevilla and home to Barca so think them, Getafe and Levante are three relegated this season.

Gus Poyet confirmed as new head coach of La Liga's Real Betis

Gus Poyet has been unveiled as the new head coach of La Liga side Real Betis on a two-year deal.

Poyet had been in charge of Greek side AEK Athens, but the 47-year-old was recently labelled as "immoral" by owner Dimitris Melissanidis after announcing he would be leaving at the end of the season.

The former Brighton and Sunderland manager will take over a Betis side currently 14th in Spain's top division, and safe from relegation with only one game remaining in the season.

Poyet had been linked with a move back to England and was, at one point, favourite to take over as Nottingham Forest manager.

Rayo facked up badly in San Sebastian....I watched it and they battered the goal but somehow went 2 down and couldn't get an equaliser despite playing against 10 men for last 15 minutes. A draw would've been important as they would've then finished above Granada with a win in their last game but can't catch Granada now (Sevilla were a disgrace yesterday btw).

They now need to win and hope both Getafe and Gijon don't win....think Gijon will beat Villareal who's season is over now.

A strange result for Atletico yesterday against the bottom club.

Godin and Griezmann were rested but fair to say all eyes on final now for them

He got 4 against Deportivo, followed it up with 4 against Gijon, then 1 goal against Betis, 2 against Espanyol and a hat trick today.  It's been quite a month.
