Farlz
I might be being harsh but the more he has to start and I have to watch him the less I like. Wasn't so bad when he'd just pop in for the European games but just not keen on him.
MWARLEY2
Not great first half. Pretty good second. Like the team as a whole
Delphinho123
Was poor tonight tbh. It is what it is. He’ll be gone soon.

villaglint
Chelsea really targeted him first half and he got found out. Second half they ran out of steam in the press a bit and he improved as did the rest of the team.

The_Rev
Tbf to Lenglet, he signed for Barcelona during their Peter Ridsdale period.
the_eristic
Started getting forward and supporting the attack in the second which helped us. That blind pass to Palmer was shocking, though!
Popular Post KMitch
This is why I hate VillaTalk... Go back a few pages and everyone is universally praising Lenglet as a great loan signing and a solid rotational defender. One bad pass and everyone is calling him shit in the Torres thread. He'll be fine.

That blind pass to Palmer was shocking, though! Martinez played a terrible ball direct to Palmer also. We excuse when Martinez though not Lenglet. Kamara has made more errors leading to chances than almost the rest of the team combined. He's forgiven them instantly but people hound Dendonker for one that lead to a goal. Emery wants the team to be brave and play out from the back knowing the more experience they get the better they get and also if we don't and we just go direct the opposition have now won control of the game because we are doing what they want us to do. As fans I want people to just realise that mistakes will happen playing out from the back but overall it's worth it. Like people have learnt the same about our high line, overall it's a positive.
Popular Post DCJonah
He's our 4th choice CB. He's much better than what I'd thought we'd have as 4th choice.

nnock1984
I actually think Lenglet is the best deputy for Pau that we could hope for. It wouldn’t surprise me if we tried to sign him permanently. Mings does not fulfill the role that Pau does despite being left footed, and without that type of player in the team, it would change how we play significantly.

Mings improved his distribution quite a lot before his injury. I'd be much happier with him deputising Pau. Yes, whilst his distribution may only be a margin better or worse than Lenglets, everything else he brings is an improvement.

Agree, he's actually a really solid player to have as back up, which is evidenced by the all the clubs who have been trying to take him off our hands during January.

The post I replied to implied that Lenglet'd be a better option than Mings ignoring the injury, maybe that isn't what they meant though so you could have a point! Lenglet is fine, and better than any other 4th choice CB in the league probably, but he's a huge step down from Pau :(.
