Two clinical finishes, we were better after the subs, but overall far from convincing.

Bailey has to go, Pau shouldn't start.

Difficult not to see Tielemans in the starting line up.

The sweet forward link up play we have seen in the other pre-season games was mostly absent today, bar some nice jinking from Couthino.

We won, but quite a few questions have been posed after that game that feel like a slight break has been placed on the all guns positivity.

Big question .... who the hell designed our kit? Valencia's shirts were dry after 90 minutes .... Ours looked like sopping wet dish rags after the first quarter of an hour. Bunch of amateurs in charge of a Villa kit yet again!

I think you have raised a very valid concern here... someone said earlier it was 29 degrees tonight in Valencia. Well we could have some 3pm kick offs in England in the 30s this month or next or in May.

I’ve run in shirts made from about a dozen manufacturers and every one of them is soaked to some degree in the summer after 20 minutes of running.

that includes Puma apparel.

There is no magic material that makes sweat disappear. Darker colors will show it more.
