For Germany to get to the extra spot now, Bayern/Dortmund would need to win the whole thing, and Bayer win the UL, with pretty much every one of our teams going out in the QFs.

Hopefully they get Liverpool, who should beat any team in it.  Although the media love fest on Klopp v his successor might not be worth the coefficient points 🤣

Playing Arsenal in between their UCL games with Bayern. Could be a good time to play them.

They seem to more or less play the same 11 every week. You’d think something has to give. They’ve been a little lucky with injuries to key players up to now. Although Arsenal fans will till you otherwise with Partey and Timber being out all season.

Not a great draw for us, at least until the SFs if they both get there.

Real are the strongest team City could have got, and Bayern are capable of beating Arsenal.

Yep, agreed. The two toughest teams that the English teams could have drawn, I think.

The fact they've been able to play Gabriel and Saliba together for pretty much every game has been huge for them, I think. Were either one of them missing for an extended run of games I think their form would suffer.

City Madrid ffs that is a bad situation if City get dumped out. Dortmund got the easiest draw too

Absolutely no chance Dortmund beat Atletico.

Germany are now pretty much relying on Bayern and Leverkusen winning their competitions and all English clubs going out at the QF.

Smile.

Yeah agreed, those are tricky ties, especially with Ederson out. That Arsenal v Bayern game really key though in terms of CoefficientWatch.

Arsenal City semi final if they make it is also bad

It's actually perfect. It means we would be guaranteed the 2nd place. As one English team will be in the final and a German team would be knocked out. It means almost certainly 0.625 points x 3.

Depends how you look at it - it’s a guaranteed win and progression vs the opportunity for two. Your classic metaphorical bird in the hand. If they get there of course.

That would mean Bayern got knocked out and guarantee an English team in the final, such a **** doom monger/troll

I literally cannot fathom how he can say this scenario would be bad in any way 🤣

Pretty much the worst possible draw. It's not impossible that Arsenal and City could go out and Dortmund got the easiest possible opponent.

Hopefully Liverpool doesn't get West Ham now..
