Never really been impressed with Ferran Torres tbh. No end product but does some nice things. Still young thou and maybe he could finally start getting those goals and assists at a club where he'd have a safer place in the starting 11.

I’m sure this Reshad Rahman is pretty reliable for Barca news so who knows Ferran would fit our team like a glove imo

Just looked up this Rahman fella and I believe you are correct, seems to specialises on Barcelona. Lots of followers also!

I’ve seen a Barca fan mention they used him on the left a lot where he’s weaker and at City he was used on the right side where he was playing better

Is there a chance we can get both ferran torres and nico williams as I certainly do not wish to miss out on the latter and it appears we are moving heavy on ferran but could probably be nonsense 🤐

Ferran Torres or Harvey Barnes tho?

Both play on the left tho and I thought we wanted a Right Forward to play next to Ollie.

Torres all day. Barnes isn't the right type of player for our system.

Torres has €40m book value left to Barca, joined for €55m 18 months ago. So bit of profit for them if we bought him and they free up the important space in the wages which is key in LaLiga. They also need to do all this before end of June

Who should we pick up from Leicester, Leeds or Southampton when they're relegated.

First choice and 2nd choice please

No thanks.  Better value at Everton (who will have a fire-sale this summer), Forest (who have had some players really step up), Bournemouth (ditto) or to test the resolve of clubs like Fulham and Brentford.  The only players likely to challenge our starting XI from Leicester, Leeds or Southampton will either think that they should be playing for the Sly 6, have pretty much bottled the fight (on a personal level) this season or we've already been linked to "better" options elsewhere.

Like you, I always thought he works hard both off the ball and in possession, but struggled to find the net or make an impact in some games.  He seems like someone who would really benefit from Emery's specific coaching. We've seen how he's worked wonders with Watkins and Mings when he told them both to stop trying to help the team, rely on their teammates to do their job, and focus on your own game.

Could end up being a 100 million pound player if Emery can unlock his potential.

If the link is genuine then there is no way that we are going for Torres without both Emery and Alemany running with it.  In which case you'd imagine that they are both convinced that that talent can be unlocked.  I suspect we are in a good position to take advantage of the inevitable summer firesale at Barcelona as Alemany has half a foot in both doors.  I can imagine us getting a couple of the younger talents he's taken to Barcelona so that their President can sign his "impact" players.  At the very worst we will know much better than other clubs what the lowest offer that would be accepted will be.  And I don't think that Alemany has burnt enough bridges for Barca to add an extra £10m on anyone we try and sign.

Not sure why so many of you are so focused on Barnes tbh - he's not the right kind of player for us at all.

Collomosse mentioned him to be fair which gives some credence to it. Doubt he'd have been spoken about so much otherwise.

No thanks to Barnes, Leicester would want mega money & to be honest I've watched him a few times this season & meh to inconsistent for me & we have players like that already, want the finished article now, yes please to Ferran Torres & Nico Williams, now these are upgrades, could we really be spending £100 million on both ? Or is one option A & other option B ...
