Still young thou and maybe he could finally start getting those goals and assists at a club where he'd have a safer place in the starting 11. So bit of profit for them if we bought him and they free up the important space in the wages which is key in LaLiga. Like you, I always thought he works hard both off the ball and in possession, but struggled to find the net or make an impact in some games. He seems like someone who would really benefit from Emery's specific coaching. We've seen how he's worked wonders with Watkins and Mings when he told them both to stop trying to help the team, rely on their teammates to do their job, and focus on your own game. If the link is genuine then there is no way that we are going for Torres without both Emery and Alemany running with it. In which case you'd imagine that they are both convinced that that talent can be unlocked. I suspect we are in a good position to take advantage of the inevitable summer firesale at Barcelona as Alemany has half a foot in both doors. I can imagine us getting a couple of the younger talents he's taken to Barcelona so that their President can sign his "impact" players. At the very worst we will know much better than other clubs what the lowest offer that would be accepted will be.
