I think the season will be a write off no matter what happens from this point, as we aren't likely to fix the imbalance in the team before the window closes and you don't get many good players available in January. The next manager signing is crucial. While I believe they may be looking, they need to give Gerrard more time to fail to both find the right man and confirm their decision to fire him. How he hasn't been able to get us playing like anything resembling a coherent football team by now does it for me. Wanted it to work out (as I do with all managers), but it just hasn't and he should probably be sacked. The caveat being I’d have him in charge for the next two. If we somehow picked up four points with a couple of good performances that might make me pause for thought.
