I think Gerrard wants to see if Bailey is worth keeping. Buendia has been promised a place next season, I'm sure of it.

I think he already knows who he wants to keep and who he wants gone. As a former world class player he knows who doesn't cut the mustard

Find it odd that Konsa has been dropped after a decent clean sheet performance, rather than keeping Chambers in when Konsa came back or after the Spuds performance. I don't really get this bloke in charge.

Hope Tim does well!

Gerrard is making sure which one he wants to keep, Chambers has boosted his appeal already and I'm sure there will be interested clubs, Konza too, plenty of takers but one has to stay and be 3rd choice, I'm convinced that a right sided CB, a bloody good one is incoming.

Or Joe Gomez...

on paper it's a risky one

Yeah bon chance he misses half the season or more. It'd be a silly signing, given he'd likely be on £5M a year salary, and Plop will screw us like they screwed Bournemouth on Solanke, Ibe, Wilson. And Sheffield Utd on Brewster.

I'd be apoplectic if we're busting £20M+ on Gomez.

Anyway, drifting off topic here. Today should be a routine win, if its not, more questions on the coach.

This'll will be the game to judge anyway. I'm expecting a work rate from all playing.

Whoever don't perform, wants to go, or can go, no excuses against this lot.

Absolutely no excuses here. Even if we get 4 players sent off in the first 10 minutes, it's a must win game. Quite frankly, anything less than a comfortable, impressive win wont be acceptable.

Yh, I'd give it a swerve.

As Iv'e said, it's a test.

Emi might have fitness issues - I’m sure he will get on later. Big call for young Timmy what a move and I’m excited to see him start. Glad Digne is back too. Feels like this might be the last chance for Bailey.

Nice gesture from Dean to secure a Villa win by resting Sargent and Gilmour.

Gilmour has been absolutely shite for them. Sargent slightly better, but he's basically just a good set of lungs.
