Mercedes right to review denied outright so no decision even needs to be made and all the data and analysis is irrelevant.

Probably the best option they could have gone for really, other than admitting fault and then saying this will usually be a penalty but not this time because they **** up.

If they'd have given a punishment it would've had far more effect than if they'd just given it at the time which is unfair on RB and VER.

If they'd have reviewed it and decided that it was okay we'd have seen every overtake on the outside countered by just running them off the road without penalty.

Wolff knew he was going to lose the review, but wanted it, cause if Lewis does the same in the next races, (which will be likely if he gets he chance) it cannot be penalised.

Yep. Martin Brundle said last week that now both teams know they can run the other of the road like that without punishment.

Red Bull threatening a Mercedes rear wing protest 😂😂😂 And to think I said I don't watch soap operas. I may have to caveat that in future.

Unless someone does something to put the stoppers on it, these two team chiefs are going to be all over each others cars like Quincy for the next few weeks until one of them gets lucky by a millimetre and it decides the Championship - that would be a real shame. We want to see them race, not measure them with an electron microscope.

Is Emerson Fittipaldi still the leader?

Close. He has a grandson in F2 (Enzo) & a grandson as reserve driver in F1 (Pietro) 😁

Weird to see F1 cars going round Losail. Not sure the track really works for it, definitely better suited to the MotoGP bikes. Can understand that this GP was added at short notice but I'm worried that overtaking in a car here will be bloody hard.

At least they've ditched the numberwang of corners that they'll enforce track limits on and just said they'll enforce them all though. Will make it much easier to spot infringements.

Just read up on Mercedes rear wing(score marks) and my conclusion is that Mercedes are cheating again. Desperate times it seems for Mercedes and desperate measures.

As if they can gain 7 mph on a few 0.1mm score marks on the rear wing, amazing.

Meanwhile, the Red Bull wing flaps around like a washing line in a hurricane.

They did this before didn't they, on the front wing. When checked it's sturdy and don't move. When there's 190 mph+ of wind going through it, it flexes and produces more down force.

If there's is anything to take advantage of on that Red Bull, Adrian Newey will find it and do it. he is a very very smart cookie when it comes to aero dynamics, probably the best in the world.

So we now have Red Bull threatening to look at the Mercedes wing while the rest of the world is focused on the Red Bull wing.

Clearly both teams are looking to find advantages in the wing - Red Bull are currently working very hard in the garage to stop the movement in theirs before qualifying, presumably because they're concerned about it being checked under regulation or about it affecting performance.

It's definitely strange, it's not the kind of thing that is happening on other cars, so it must be the result of something that Red Bull have done deliberately - whether it's an effect they wanted is another thing, but the cause must be an action they've taken with the design of the wing.
