Possible 2 week break in the league because of corona, not sure that would be good news for us or not.

Every time we have a break (international) we come back shit and take a few games to get into the flow again.

Jon Moss needs a golf cart. How is this fat **** allowed to referee premier league games?

Best defensive performance on the pitch. Lost count of the number of times he's blocked off passing options for the attacking team.

100% this, its criminal, if you want to know why refs like moss can't keep up with the speed of world class professional athletes just take a look at him

They need a complete rethink on where they're getting these refs from, he's 50 years old and at least 2 stone overweight how do they possibly think he's capable of keeping up

They don't need VAR they need common sense

22 elite athletes in their prime versus one bloke who'd spend the days having the piss taken out of his tits if he was a PE teacher.

They should be trying to get young players who can't quite make it at the top level but still have the pace and stamina, IMO, but they'd need to offer a lot more money. Or just give up on the on pitch ref keeping up and let VAR run the game.

Mike Dean once said on the Peter Crouch podcast that because he is so experienced and knowledgeable he can make a decision being 30 yards away when a younger ref will need to be 10/15 yards away to make that call.

The arrogance of that statement and the absolute lack of self criticism or a desire to improve the decision making process shows how far detached the "elite" referees are.

Wolves nulling them out so far.

When Man Utd are not allowed to counter they look clueless

Yeah, I think they look quite ponderous as well. Seem to be relying on a magical pass from Bruno all the time.

The thing is with VAR they have a semi retirement home for that experience, get someone younger and fitter on the pitch and then someone with all that experience in the video room

I think the youngest ref is kavanagh at 34, how do they scout refs, can they fast track them, how many young footballers don't make it every year and is being a ref ever offered as an alternative to them?

Why isn't there a 25 year old PL ref?

Edit - posted before I saw @Davkaus post. Again completely agree

this is a good question tbf. it's not like being a ref requires the mental capacity on par with a CERN researcher.

I doubt he needs to be there for the game to go ahead. Most clubs are sneaking more and more “seniors” into the grounds now.

Such is the busyness of my life, I spent half time trying to find any kind of guidance on who is allowed in the "amber zone" and drew a blank
