rbcuk
One has already left the sinking ship... Martin Jiranek has left the club - he's rejected the option to extend his contract and has had offers from clubs in Russia...
thetrees
No chance, thats one player I think Blues would not want to lose at any cost. They need money, and he is one of their three or four most saleable assets. Bolton, Blackburn, Wolves, West Brom, Wigan, Sunderland, Newcastle, Norwich, Fulham are all teams that could come knocking. Gardner is a player who gives 100% commitment every time, scores goals regularly from midfield, and can play at PL level. I defy any Villa supporter to pinpoint a time when he let us down while he was playing for us. (I don't want him back though) Scores goals regularly? When did he do that for us? He's a player i've never rated and never will, i look forward to him moving to wolves or west brom and declaring himself a lifelong fan. It's not about whether you or I rate him, 9 in 42 games for the Blose makes him a goal scoring midfielder in anyones book, and this will ensure PL interest. And he played with more conviction in a Villa shirt than some of our 'stars' who were trying to make the club implode mid-season....
MagicMarlon
A Bluenose at work said to me today, 'Congrats on staying up Villa... it only cost you £24m.' What a tool.

leviramsey Posted May 23, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted May 23, 2011 Hands up then, who actually managed to work out that they were going down when Wolves scored their second goal? Where I was sat there was an audible cranking of brain gears as people tried to work out the league standings. It was only really when Spurs went 2-1 up that the celebrations began. I knew when this came on the screen:
villa4europe
yeah to be fair SSN had been saying since blackburns 3rd goal that wolves would need 2 to stay up so i knew it was coming

Which is coincidentally almost exactly the difference between a season of PL TV money and the first season's parachute payment in the Championship, is it not? TheDon
I was sad enough to be sat watching 5 games knowing what a goal in any of the 4 relegation ones would do. After SHA equalised I was praying for a Wolves or Spurs goal, since we got both does that mean there is or isn't a God?

Maradona10
Lol @ Blues, they've just fired their Chief Scout, effectively blamed him for them going down. The Chief Scout is the true Agent, he apparently persuaded Yeung not to part with his cash for Nzogbia, Pennant or Pavelychenko. Seems like he's been made to be the fall guy.
