General i want to ask you something based on the premier league experience quotes in the latest statements even though im sure this will be ignored. You said hes a proven premierleague manager, now he has managed in the league for 3 years in which 2 seasons he was relegated. He also played the worst football in the league last season and scored 37 goals in 38 games. Absolutely terrible. Secondly you said he hasnt been backed by the previous board he worked under, also complete rubbish as he had the 3rd highest net spend only beaten by man city and chelseas spending. Cant any of the board see what this potential appointment will do to the club, my worst day as a villa fan and ive been going to villa park since i was 5 years old absolutely disgraceful that the board think mcleish is the man to take our club forward. Im genuinely disgusted by the whole board.

Thats it then, mcleish is the manager and i wont be watching villa for a few years at least. Worst day of being a fan since ive been alive im absolutely distraught. My last post on the villa aswell and i dont care if anyone says im overreacting, R.I.P AVFC.

Couldnt agree more tbh the days of top6 were amazing and its dawning on me that its definitely not happening again anytime soon. Some posters here are talking about over-reaction but were all entitled to an opinion and IF we appoint mcleish its the start of the downfall of the club i love imo.

Wouldnt say were on par with tottenham at all, not anymore and this saga has just proved it. If we were that attractive we'd probably have a manager by now but as it stands were scraping the bottom of the barrel for names like mcleish.

Its all starting to make sense and im physically shaking right now.

Cant believe people think thats genuinely the general..

From what I gather, and what makes sense to me, is that Mcleish has contacted Villa and asked to be considered for the job. Before we spoke to him, we asked for permission from the Birmingham owners... they refused and leaked it at the same time. Hopefully nothing more than that in it, and the odds are suggesting it is not as big a contact as the media are making out. Mcleish is still not odds on even after this "breaking news". There is hope for us all yet! But why would we contact the blues? Even if mcleish did contact us about the job we should be politely declining his application to be honest. Theres no need for an interview if what the general said about our fanbase and heritage because an appointment like this would destroy all of that.

Err i wont love avfc any less, infact its my love for the club that makes me feel this way at the prospect of mcleish being our manager. I wont be stepping foot anywhere near vp if this clown is appointed.

No quite simply, get the blues to wembley and look what happened to them. If we appointed him i cant see myself even following villa id be genuinely disgusted by it. Ill always be a villa fan but i couldnt follow the club whilst it was managed by mcleish.
