So I'm at a gig tonight (in between sets) and they already mandate showing the covid passport. Except at doors, the app was **** and timing out for everyone, so they just had to wave us all in. What a **** joke.

Not the NHS COVID app but the standalone NHS app. For what it's worth, you can also order a paper copy of your pass from the NHS website - I took advantage of that when travelling to Gibraltar in the Summer just in case my phone decided to be a git.

Why should they be able to go about life as normal? **** ‘em. Word removed’s. I don’t enter this thread much, what is the general reasoning behind people not having the Jab? I see loads of brain dead conspiracy shit on social media that isn’t worth repeating, but amongst folk with half a brain, what’s the thought process? You can just download as PDF and print it yourself. I did that for Spain.

No worries. I ordered mine as my home printer was out of ink (normally I'd use the office printer!). Mine arrived within a week if I recall. Yes mate. You download the NHS app and once you go through security stuff you enter your medical history. There is an option to download your covid pass which comes through as a QR code, or you can request a PDF incase you’re worried about signal. Point to note, the pass refreshes every so often (I think it’s 30 days but haven’t checked mine recently so don’t quote me). As such the QR code will always be valid, but if you choose the PDF version it will have a expiry date.

Davkaus
My company sells widgets on the internet. We have servers distributed globally, with failovers on a different cloud service such that it'd basically take a globally significant event to take the website down for anything longer than minutes. The government service that will be mandatory to do basically anything has been **** for hours.

Not true, the digital version has an expiry date, not only a date but a very specific end time too (it makes no sense but hey ho)

Not sure why people might choose not to have it - but its their choice to make , not anyone else's. If you choose to have a vaccination, its to protect you , not anyone else. For me, I've had 2 jabs, wont be having anymore. They are simply not needed. Maybe in a year or two when my immunity wanes perhaps. As for mandatory vaccines, I would be vehemently against - have you read the Nuremburg code ? People not bothered about vaccine passports ? are you crazy - forced to show your papers to use any facilities in society - ever heard that before ? Vaccine passports are a nonsense and are proved not to work - look at rates in wales/scotland/germany/ everywhere else requiring them, they are all up. And the comments about not mixing with unvaccinated people ? you've fallen hook line and sinker for the divide and conquer approach, haven't you ? The vaccine doesn't stop you catching it, doesn't stop you spreading it. Remind me how that passport will work for you then? If you want to take the vaccine it most probably will help stop you being seriously ill, so its probably a good idea, but its up to you. It won't stop you catching it - my wife is also fully vaxxed and caught it from school (teacher)... Passed it on to both kids, I escaped. Noone had more than a cold and all fine. Remember - as yet there are ZERO people in hospital with omicron, and it has so far killed ZERO people. Read between the lines - last week pfizer & astrazeneca shareholders value up around 9.8 billion pounds. I should also add I know one work colleague who died from a stroke 2 days after having a vaccine, and another friend who had a heart attack after the first dose (didn't die in the end)... Its not without it's risks... Edited December 8, 2021 by richp999 1 1 2
