useless Posted February 3, 2023 Share Posted February 3, 2023 Our U21s won their sixth league game in a row on Wednesday, beating Leicester 5-1 away from home, Georgia Mullett got an hat-trick, good week for her as she also came on against Fylde and won a penalty. After an up and down start, they're nine points clear at the top of the table, but Man Utd in second place do have three games in hand. useless Posted February 4, 2023 Share Posted February 4, 2023 That was awful and frustraiting, kept giving the ball away, dwelling on it for too long, Brighton winning all the second balls, referee kept giving them all the contentious decisions, no idea why Gielnik was brought on to replace Lehmann on the right, not sure what happened today, maybe a little complacency crept in after good results against Spurs, and Man City then big scoreline against Fylde. But at least we didn't lose, and we're not good enough that we're going to beat everyone but the 'top four', we're still going to have the occassional result and performance like today's, especially at Bescot where we're always susceptible, we play Brighton again next weekend so a chance to put in a better performance against the same opposition. useless Posted February 5, 2023 Share Posted February 5, 2023 One potential positive from yesterday is that at least we got a point and the teams around us have tough looking fixtures today, Everton play Man Utd, Spurs play Chelsea, and West Ham play Arsenal. Not getting the win was a missed opportunity and denied us the chance to go above Everton into fifth, but if results go to form for the other teams today we could end up finishing the weekend having gained a point on our rivals Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
