A good 3 points which at least puts the pressure on Fulham and Cardiff.

However, we were pretty poor, its just Leeds were worse. Play like that in the playoffs and it will all be over after the 1st leg.

People may say that games like that happen in this league, that only the result matters, but they have happened so many times this seasons for us, and its evidence of a weakness - the inability to make sometimes even the most basic passes. We revert far too easily to aimless punts or deep crosses to nobody.

It has cost us already this season, and we need to make sure it doesnt cost us again at the most crucial time.

Asking why that happened. Bruce has his famous 4/4 promotions and Villa are out of automatic. So, is Bruce now having a pre-season for the play-offs? Could be canny.

Snoddy ALWAYS busts his gut. I genuinely think his total commitment is why he gets picked so regularly. It’s a message from SB to the rest of the team - this is how you approach a football match.

Grealish best player on the pitch again. So calm on the ball always looking to do someone positive but simple. Needed that calming influence in the second half.

It wasn’t a fantastic display by all means, but we dominated. Had several good chances and they didn’t have any.

The Snodgrass hatefest I particularly didn’t get. I thought he had a good game.

I’ve made him MOTM just to thumb my nose at the negative ones.

Me neither, but it's just VT I suppose. He made some mistakes, but also served up quality passes, like the one to Grabban that he really should've buried.

Snodgrass had a poor game by his own high standards but you can't fault his desire and application.

I thought it  was awful to watch but I appreciate your psychoanalysis and lessons on how to view a game as you do.

We did enough. First half was so dominant and too easy. Second half was slow to get going but Leeds never really posed a threat. 

We were wasteful in attack, and should have won by 3 or 4 really. 

Snoddy looks like he’ll be glad of over a week without a game. Should have subbed him instead of Grabban. Adomah looked more lively. Grabban took his goal well. Grealish is a wizard at this level. 

Bonus getting 65 minutes from Kodjia, hopefully get him firing for the playoffs.

Thought we played really well overall apart from 20 minutes in the second half. Probably only Snodgrass who had a bad game.

Johnstone. 6 . Nothing much to do really

Elmohamady. 7. Great first half and ok I’m the second. His height is quite important at times.

chester. 8. Fantastic and showed his usual composure

Jedinak. 8.5. I wanted Samba to start over him but he was absolutely brilliant winning loads of headers and playing some lovely balls out from the back.

Taylor. 7. Was very pleased with him today. Thought he might have been finished as a footballer after the last few games he’s played but was good today.

Whelan. 8. Another one I didn’t want to start but was great today and made some crucial tackles and was composed throughout.

Onomah. 7. Thought he was decent and probably better in second half when we were under the cosh.

Grealish. 10. Unbelievable. Some of the things he does are just unreal and have me just shaking my head. I think he’s my favourite player for Villa in my 25 years of supporting them. MOTM in all but 1 of the matches since he’s come back.

Snodgrass. 5. Really poor tonight, worst performance in a long time. He is capable of matches like that but then often makes up for it with an assist or a goal but no joy tonight.

Kodjia. 7. Thought he looked pretty sharp tonight and looked like he could make things happen but glad he came off when he did as was tiring and when he went down clutching his ankle I did a bit of poop 

Grabban 8. Played really well and showed great vision a couple of times. The one time he did mess up he managed to chase back and make amends.

Okay - I love Jack and his talent exceeds the rest of the team combined but he was pretty poor tonight by his recent standards. If that's 10/10 then he's been doing 15/10 in recent games !!!

Maybe a bit harsh. I just watched his interview and he really is a good bloke but the truth is, I just do not enjoy watching Villa anymore. With the resources he has, we should be much better. He is scared of everyone we play despite all the advantages we have. I think we could smash this league with a positive approach. 

He is a good guy. I want him to prove me wrong. I just don’t think he will!

We don’t play exhilarating football. It’s hard to in the Championship though tbh. Fulham play pretty football. Brentford do, but get much worse results than us. Wolves are nicer to watch than us, but are a unique situation. Some of their players are exceptional for this level.

Apart from those, have you seen anyone in this league who you’ve watched and really enjoyed their style of play? Could argue Bristol City (maybe) - but we absolutely pumped them.

This season has been my favourite Villa season in a really long time. I enjoy winning, and our football is not gouge your eyes out bad (see: Warnock’s Cardiff). I really believe Jack is a joy to watch, and some credit goes to Bruce for that.
