After the Bailey goal the in game commentary said “if Sheffield United had taken it a bit further away from the goal it wouldn’t have been disallowed, the officials say it’s still part of the same phase when Villa won it back”. The point was repeated in the question to Unai after the game. Yeah that’s obviously their logic because they ruled it out but that’s a misapplication of the rules in most people’s opinion, including in the post-match analysis on MOTD.
