oh good news for me.

Really nice to see him back....He always showed a fondness for our club.

an enhancement to the harmony, once again.

Welcome back Conor.

Have I missed something here? Are we taking him back as a youth coach?
He played for Derby last night 🤔

Loved the way he was always in space for the long shot when he had his hands in the air you knew it was coming. I doubt any team would give a villa player in this team that much space.

Released by Derby after 41 apps. I know they've gone up a division but still surprised he's been released. Or is he due to take on his role at Villa now? Can't remember what the deal was.

He was already doing the job for us from what I've read. Even at a lower level it seems crazy to be captain for a professional team while coaching for another.

With over 40 appearances though, I'm surprised he stepped away too, but he knows his big a step up it is as much as anyone so maybe he just wants to call it a day in a high

Hourihane linked linked with a player/coach role at Barnsley.

He's been okay for Derby but like us, his (much appreciated) goal contributions mask a midfielder that doesn't really impose himself on the game, even at that level, and whose legs are really going.

Probably on a fair whack, 34 next season, makes sense for everyone.

Apparently he is back as a u16 coach !!

I do have a soft spot for conor tbh

Been with us the last yr as u16 coach. Leaving to be player coach at Barnsley. Interview on The Athletic, seems very level headed, not only done A and Pro License but also going on managers courses. Be interesting  to see how he develops. Going down leagues is a smart move
