Designer1 Posted December 1, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted December 1, 2016 Following on from the top 10 albums, here's the movie version. Same rules apply... No **** 'honourable mentions'! Stick to 10 movies and that's it!...please Here's mine: 1. The Assassin 2. Deadpool 3. Neon Demon 4. Anomalisa 5. Dheepan 6. Our Little Sister 7. The Revenant 8. Room 9. Tale of Tales 10. The Witch Note - I have gone by IMDB's 'released in the UK' date. So if it's 2016 on there then that's cool
HanoiVillan
Worked out I've only seen 13 movies, so bad luck to 3. I only go and watch films I'm pretty sure I'm going to like now. #10 - Joy #9 - 10 Cloverfield Lane #8 - Mustang #7 - The Revenant #6 - The Witch #5 - Spotlight #4 - Nocturnal Animals #3 - Rams #2 - My Scientology Movie #1 - Eye In The Sky ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Funniest name of a movie I didn't watch: God's Not Dead 2.

Fairly straightforward in it's plotting and not exactly many shades of grey in the characterisation, but it's atmospheric and very believable. V01
My list is bad but in fairness I've only seen 13 of this years films and the three that miss out are really bad, between them their redeeming features were, Margot Robbie in hotpants, Megan Fox in a slutty school uniform and Amy Adams/Gail Gadot looking good. Hell or High Water The Nice Guys Captain America: Civil War Deadpool Central Intelligence Kingsglaive X-Men Apocalypse Star Trek: Beyond Jason Bourne Independence Day: Resurgence

villa4europe
The boundary between the years is hard because of the way they do award season films, revenant for me was last year, I think it's too early for this, in the next couple of weeks I'll be watching Star Wars, Jackie, fences, arrival, moana, a United Kingdom etc nice guys deadpool civil war 13th on the list so far, really enjoyed dr strange in IMAX too
Rodders
Only seen 13 new ones this year, wanted to see many more and may still get a couple more in, so subject to edit in the next few weeks, and with slightly random ordering in the middle: edit: shit! Forgot Eye in the Sky was this year 1. Eye in the Sky 2. Spotlight. 3. Hail, Caesar! 4. The Jungle Book 5. Room 6. Captain America Civil War 7. Dr. Strange 8. Arrival 9. Ghostbusters. 10. Deepwater Horizon Edited December 1, 2016 by Rodders
Ingram85
Been a poor year for decent films imo. These were my favourites. The Revenant Warcraft Kingsglaive Lights Out Train to Busan The Conjuring
hogso
Wiener-Dog Eddie the Eagle Deadpool Hunt for the Wilderpeople The Revenant Nocturnal Animals Neon Demon Goodnight Mommy There are plenty enough films to watch from this year I haven't seen yet that should easily fill the other two slots. I don't feel anything else I've seen this year could really make a top ten, so it's an eight for now.
PieFacE Posted December 2, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted December 2, 2016 (edited) 1. Captain Fantastic 2. Arrival 3. Hell or High Water 4. Deadpool 5. Revenant 6. Room 7. Midnight Special 8. Spotlight ( dunno if that counts as this year or last year?) 9. Nice Guys 10. The Nice Guys 3. The Hateful Eight 4. The Revenant 5. Bone Tomahawk 6. Room 7. Spotlight 8. The Big Short 9. Dope 10. John Wick (small caveat- these are the best films I've seen this year, but acknowledge some may have been released last year!) ender4
felt like an awful year of films in 2016, i'm not sure i can even think of 10 good films i've seen all year. so: 1) Star Wars 7 - 9/10 2) Eye in the Sky - 9/10 3) X-Men Apocalypse - 8/10 4) Deadpool - 8/10 5) Independence Day 2 - 8/10 6) Star Trek 3 - 7/10 7) ... the rest were all pretty poor.
