5) Independence Day 2 - 8/10

it's all about choice and there are no wrong answer  .....  but I suspect if we had a thread for 10 worst film of the year that would top most peoples list :)

Sounds like the top 3 right there,  what were the films?

Suicide Squad, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and Batman vs Superman.

I agree it would be in most peoples top 10 worst films, and i fully expected for it to be in my worst top 10 before i saw it.

I went into the cinema knowing exactly what i had signed up to, and i was pleasantly surprised.

So on reflection, I've seen a few more films than I thought this year. Still got loads to catch up on but here is this years* top ten.

I, Daniel Blake

The Lobster

Men and Chicken

Rams

Tangerines

Anomalisa

Hail Caesar

Deadpool

Tony Benn: Will and Testament

Mavis

* They might not necessarily all be this year.

It's a really good movie, I'm sure you'll like it a lot. Fairly straightforward in it's plotting and not exactly many shades of grey in the characterisation, but it's atmospheric and very believable.

Watched it today.

Fantastic. Excellent recommendation sir :thumb:

Performances were so naturalistic and I really, really felt for some of the sisters.

Worked out I've only seen 13 movies, so bad luck to 3. I only go and watch films I'm pretty sure I'm going to like now.

#10 - Joy

#9 - 10 Cloverfield Lane

#8 - Mustang

#7 - The Revenant

#6 - The Witch

#5 - Spotlight

#4 - Nocturnal Animals

#3 - Rams

#2 - My Scientology Movie

#1 - Eye In The Sky

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Funniest name of a movie I didn't watch: God's Not Dead 2.

Watched 'Sully' last night and enjoyed it (well made, good acting, quite simplistic viewpoints on airline safety but psychologically sound), so out goes 'Joy' and down one place goes '10 Cloverfield Lane'.
