Apparently Swedish police is on full alert as loads of "high risk" Russian fans has made their way to Stockholm for tonight's deciding game in Nations League.

As if people needed another reason to not go to a game played 20.45 on a weekday in the middle of winter...

Second home game in this tournament where Sweden are playing at home late during a weekday meaning attendances of 20k-ish rather than 40-50k if it was played during the weekend or at least starting at a reasonable hour so that people not from Stockholm could go watch it and get back home before they started work the next day.

bad draw for the swedes too, turkey and russia, is the interest really there?

englands group which on the other hand is top drawer england vs spain (81k - 90k stadium) england vs croatia (78k) spain vs england (50k - 61k stadium) spain vs croatia (26k - 33k stadium) croatia vs spain (33k - 35k stadium)

and then germany / france / holland which has the added spice france vs holland (76k - 81k) france vs germany (77k) holland vs france (44k - 51k) holland vs germany (52k - 55k) germany vs france (67k - 75k) germany vs holland i cant find, world champions france not selling out to germany seems crazy to me, same with holland vs germany their biggest rivals

sell outs look rare and a few countries seem to be putting these games on the road, maybe due to the scepticism over this tournament which next time wont be there

Sweden actually playing a really good first 45 and leading 1 - 0 against a new look Russia who are missing a lot of players from their WC side earlier this summer.

Dominating every aspect of the game and creating quite a few chances

Lindelöf with the goal from a corner, something where Sweden have caused a lot of trouble from for the Russian defense.

Once again Lindelöf is playing with a confidence you don't see him have at Manure. MOTM so far.

2 - 0 Sweden and Marcus Berg ends his 13 month long scoring drought having not scored for Sweden since October 7th last year when he scored 4 against Luxembourg.

Edit: Yay! Sweden just won their group in the UEFA Intertot Cup of Nations :hooray:

Do we get a plaque now or at least a printed diploma to hang on the wall?

no but you spoiled the potential ukraine vs russia match

are all the finals played in portugal or different leagues in different places at different weekends?  it is -

england, holland, portugal, switzerland

ukraine, swede, denmark, bosnia

scotland, finland, norway, serbia

georgia, belarus, kosovo, macedonia

all of them 2 games away from qualifying for Euro 2020, i would guess that the scots dont consider it a pointless competition, best chance they've got of qualifying in a long time

Yup, if these teams fail to qualify for the 2020 Euro's the regular way they get a second chance in March of 2020 to qualify.

Safety line for the big nations so UEFA have less risk of them missing out, and a nice opportunity for the minnows.

So, Jesse Lingard?

Or perhaps The sun pulling things out of their a**e?

AN England footballer was booted out of a nightclub after snorting cocaine in the toilet.

One horrified team-mate from his Premier League club spotted him “doing a line” in the loos.

And others were shocked when he emerged from the toilets looking the worse for wear during a pre-Christmas team get-together after an away game.

Half an hour later his team’s irate manager had him put in a taxi and sent home — mistakenly believing he had drunk too much. A club insider said: “Everyone is talking about it.

“It wasn’t the club’s official Christmas party but a few drinks after a game and many of the players and manager were there.

“One of the players saw him doing a line in the toilets then half an hour later he was all over the place. His jaw was working overtime and he was a mess

“He wasn’t just drunk. The gaffer was furious and got him out the back door and into a taxi thinking he had drunk too much.”

Sources say the star had provided clean samples to drug testers just a day earlier — so knew he could snort cocaine without the risk of being tested again in the next few days.

His behaviour is said to have shocked other squad members and caused a rift within the team.

The insider added: “There’s been turmoil in the dressing room most of the season and this hasn’t helped.

“Results haven’t been fantastic so it’s the worst possible timing. The drug testers had visited the day before so he knew he could get away with it.”

Footballers face a two-year ban by the FA if they test positive for Class A drugs.

Latest figures show UK Anti-Doping collected more than 5,000 samples from players during the 2017/18 season. This included 1,923 from the Premier League — a large increase on 1,171 samples from the previous season.

There were 1,109 tests taken from players in the Championship, 638 in League One and 610 in League Two.

Six footballers failed tests for recreational drugs last season but their identities have not been revealed.

Two players were punished for anti-doping violations during the 2016-17 season — Aston Villa’s Jake Humphries and former Accrington midfielder Paddy Lacey.

Sounds bullshit plus doubt Mourinho would have cared by then for it to be a United player

Doubt it's Man. United as Mourinho could barely want to share a dressing room with some of the players in the last few weeks of his tenure there so I can't really believe he'd come on a night out with them!

Probably Burnley, Fulham or Southampton if I was to guess the club.

Asian Cup has started off interesting. Australia lost to Jordan and now India are 4-1 up over Thailand

And the home nation U.A.E were gifted a non existing 88 min penalty by the ref to salvage a draw against Bahrain in from of 33.000 spectators that was actually around 10.000.

All is well.
