Rob182 Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 It's not been confirmed on the OS, but Andrew Stone has confirmed on his Twitter account (@ajstone24) that after 6 years at Southampton, he is the new Head of Performance Analysis & Technical Recruitment at Villa. The end of Paddy Reilly, perhaps? 3
Popular Post sexbelowsound Posted July 5, 2016 Popular Post Posted July 5, 2016 Hello! Southampton do that recruitment good style. Me likey. 9
Kingman Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Never heard of him but Southampton haven't been to shabby over that time. Welcome to the nut house.
villan-scott Posted July 5, 2016 VT Supporter Posted July 5, 2016 According to Trent in the Speculation thread he worked with RDM at MK Dons. A hugely positive addition IMO.
alreadyexists Posted July 5, 2016 VT Supporter Posted July 5, 2016 Nice. This is one piece of the puzzle, but with Xia's ambition, the other recruitment at the club, a couple of new signings and some dead wood being cut (not happened yet obv) things will start to look a lot better. In the words of John Lennon; it can't get no worse. Welcome Andrew, could you start analysing and recruiting today please?
useless Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Is the Technical Director who the Birmingham Mail said was going to be seen as a coup.
Popular Post withes_shin Posted July 5, 2016 Popular Post Posted July 5, 2016 Hopefully this is not the Andrew Stone off Pineapple Dance Studios!! 5
Demitri_C Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 cant be worse than that imbecile reilly. welcome aboard! Southampton have a great track record of youngsters so hopefully this will be a shrewd move 1

useless Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 When you google 'Andrew Stone Southampton' there are no search results about Southampton football club. But then again I don't think there was much information on Almstadt either.

Jareth Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 What a great appointment. Saints are going off the boil. We'll have a key figure from their promotion and prem league success and they can have eric black. 1

Dr_Pangloss Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Goes to show that despite us being in the Championship we still have significant pulling power.
Popular Post BOF Posted July 5, 2016 Moderator Popular Post Posted July 5, 2016 If we're bringing in Southampton staff who were in any way responsible for recruiting then that has to be great news. Quite how we pulled it off I don't know. This tells me that our project must genuinely be every bit as ambitious as we hope it is, if we can lure someone like that in our current predicament. Exciting times ahead *fingers crossed* 12

But I still believe he would have to be in some way excited by the project being proposed too. 1

It's a recruitment man's football manager wet dream.... "Take this shambles, I'll give you all the money you need, and turn them into a winning top flight side..."
useless Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 It can't be that much of coup can it, he's pretty much ungoogable. Even his twitter has very few followers, surely if he was that instrumental in Southampton's success a lot more of their fans would be following him.
