It's nice to be able to take a detached view as we're not involved in a relegation struggle this season.
Arj Guy
Leicester have been brilliant this season fair play to them. However for me it will be sad to see a club which uses clappers, drums and goal music win the league.

Mantis
Corbyn, Trump, Leicester challenging for the title and Villa going down. I'm sorry but 2015/16 has been a bit too wild for my tastes...
StanBalaban
Look how hard these Leicester players work when they don't have the ball. A million miles from what we see from our lot.
TheAuthority Posted March 14, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted March 14, 2016 So simple from Vardy there. It's what Young & Gabby used to do under MON. If you can't beat your man just get a corner.
OutByEaster? Posted March 14, 2016 Moderator Share Posted March 14, 2016 Eight games left for Leicester - I think they need four wins to take the title. Four wins and a draw would leave Spurs needing to win six of their remaining eight games to draw level with them.
PaulC
Yes points more important than the performance tonight. I thought they managed the game well at the end
TheAuthority Posted March 14, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) They're not really playing 'champagne football' but they are getting closer. Edited March 14, 2016 by TheAuthority

Winning ugly is as important as tearing teams apart. Manchester United were the masters of it during Fergie's time. Leicester have put in some brilliant performances this season, just last month they played Liverpool off the park at home then tore Man City a new one up at the City of Manchester stadium. They are top of the league, top of the form table and have picked up 10 points from the 12 available in their 'winnable' games since they went down in the last minute at Arsenal. I'd fancy them to do Palace at Selhurst next too. I still pinch myself every time I look at the league table but it really is on. We could have the most ludicrous of title wins I've seen in my lifetime and it would be the one silver lining of a really shitty season. I don't really buy into the whole Villa - Leicester local rivalry and I live in the one place where it is more likely to be a 'thing' than anywhere else. Seeing a team stick two fingers up at the conventional wisdom that you need a £250m squad and a £100m wage bill just to stand a chance of finishing in the top four is incredible.
Mantis
I fail to see how Leicester winning the league is much of a silver lining? I take your point about winning against all the odds but they've just been really lucky really. Not denying that hard work hasn't gone into it but if you simulated the season again 99 times out of 100 they wouldn't be anywhere near 1st. Zatman
Best thing to happen to football in a hell of a long time, last what you call unfancied club to cause trouble in top flight was maybe Ipswich in 2001 and if dont count that Blackburn in 1995. well deserved and gives a 2 finger to the Sky elite

We'll have to take our medicine in the lower leagues, in fact we deserve to given the shambles of the last 5 years. Leicester were a shambles aswell once, went down to league one in 2007/08 but eventually sorted themselves and here we are. I know it's a once in a lifetime generation fluke but that's what you cling onto isn't it?
