Popular Post samjp26 Posted May 12, 2014 Popular Post Posted May 12, 2014 I think all awards should go to you to be honest Andy 5
Qwpzxjor1 Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Club can't be spending money whilst a sale is going through. That must be it. Yeah, that's it. I hope they told the players earlier than this.. not that I feel sorry for them as such, but I don't think they should be any more demoralised about being at Aston Villa than they are already, not with transfer window opening.
Popular Post Morley_crosses_to_Withe Posted May 12, 2014 Popular Post Posted May 12, 2014 Diddums! What a shame for the bunch of overpaid rocket polishers. I wonder whether they were on their way to the dinner when it got cancelled Poor lads! They'll have to drive back to their mansions, in their Ferraris, and perhaps they'll sob all the way back because they now miss out on a free dinner. Maybe the tens of thousands they'll pick up on Friday will soften the blow. But probably not 5
HanoiVillan Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Well, given the extended knicker-twisting occasioned by a picture of a man enjoying a beer after a game of football, I can understand why they might feel it would go against the mood. 4
Risso Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Aww, Lambert isn't going to get his "worst manager since Billy McNeill" award now. Shame.

They're nowhere near as demoralised about them being at the club as a lot of fans are. 2
andykeenan Posted May 12, 2014 Author Posted May 12, 2014 Villa head of media Brian Doogan tweeted: “In light of today’s announcement & disappointing end to season, decision taken to cancel end of season dinner #avfc “
King Cropley Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I'm sure the players were gutted....in other news Legs XI has opened an hour earlier to console Clark and Weimann has managed to get the gaffer of Veseyans CC to put on a lock-in instead.....
Cliffy Biro Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Villa head of media Brian Doogan tweeted: “In light of today’s announcement & disappointing end to season, decision taken to cancel end of season dinner #avfc “ Lerner probably saw the quote from the catering company and thought "**** that!"
villa_shere Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Villa head of media Brian Doogan tweeted: “In light of today’s announcement & disappointing end to season, decision taken to cancel end of season dinner #avfc “ Poor form by the club, we've had a poor season but the event was sold out and people had made arrangements to go to that function. Was probably cancelled to the clubs convenience

Nath182 Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Can't imagine the players are gutted at all, probably just means they can fly off to a nice warm beach a bit earlier.

Mantis Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Still think Benteke's was goal of the season. What a **** goal. Almost as important as Lowton's wonder strike at Stoke last season IMO.
markavfc40 Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Delph cleaned up. No surprise there. Yes thoroughly deserved. He went off the boil towards the end of the season but overall did very well. Also scored three winning goals which could well have been the difference between staying up and getting relegated. That goal against Chelsea will live long in the memory.
