Villan4Life Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-city-norway-u21-midfielder-3029637 Manchester City are ready to let midfield starlet Abdisalam Ibrahim leave for just £250,000. The Norway under-21 midfielder has been granted a free transfer but City want training compensation. St Etienne, Toulouse, Aston Villa and Swansea are all keen on the powerful midfielder. The 22-year-old had been on loan at Strømsgodset. While there he helped the Norwegian side to the title, beating Rosenborg by a point 1
Mattyp_avfc Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Not seen a great deal of him... Would he be our midfield destroyer? The CDM we really need? If so for 250k it's a bargain... Anybody who's watched him got an opinion? Hoping for a cam and a cb this window....
Villan4Life Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 He is very much in Viera type mould mate, i mean Pogba left Man Utd to chance 1st team chances and we know what happened there.. For 250k surely worth a punt!! he is 6ft 2.

vandaq Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Not good enough, seen him several times. He is very much after a pay check and would join us quickly. But he is in talks with Olympiakos last I heard, so he might end up there. 2
Morpheus Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Would be very surprised if Lambert or his his scouting network haven't already had a look at this player due to the mooted price.

foreveryoung Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Investment Lerner investment. oohhhhhhh!
villalad21 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 As a Norwegian i know about this lad. Great player at his best, and loads of potetial. Ibrahim is Godgifted on the ball. He's got amazing technique. When he runs with the ball, few people can follow him. He can do things with the ball, not many other players can do. Although, being one of the greatest prospects in Norway for years, the competition for him may be huge.
VillaChris Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 He's been at Man. City a while now, has he ever gone out on loan to any English clubs?
AVFCforever1991 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 (edited) What happened to Abdul Razak? 6'2" Ivorian cm Edited January 16, 2014 by AVFCforever1991
Daveburnside Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 If hes that good why are they letting him go for £250k?!
VillaChris Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Razak went on loan to Pompey a few times, think he's at Anzhi now.
The Fun Factory Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Man City reserve player, he wouldn't come to Villa as he would have to lower his wage demands. 1
vandaq Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 He was very much looked upon as a big talent several years ago. He played like 10 minutes distance from me, I remember there was a lot of talk about him. He went to city very young as many players do and got nowhere. Was loaned out to different clubs, been in Norway now for two season for Strømsgodset(they have a relationship with city, albeit small). He has not really impressed me at all, and if there was anyone we should have gotten from there it should have been johansen, though I feel this level will be too high for him as well, at least right now. You never know, he could suddenly rapidly improve and become good but I think that city move ruined it for him. 2
gwi1890 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 (edited) we need height in midfield when Benteke doesn't win a header the clearance bypasses the entire midfield Edited January 16, 2014 by gwi1890
The Fun Factory Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Didn't this bloke play for the stone roses when John Squire pissed off? 2
VillaForever1970 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Fancy name, should please VT regardless of whether he’s any good or not.
Electric Avenue Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 We really should be prioritising more cheap strikers rather than fannying about with cheap midfielders.
TreeVillan Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Fancy name, should please VT regardless of whether he’s any good or not. Really think so? I'd say it's a generic islamic name my self.
