Ulver
Calm down people ... Lambert's got FOURTEEN more irons in the fire, he said so himself Don't doubt the man Edited January 31, 2014 by Ulver
samjp26
So the word on the curb is that WBA made an enquiry into Hoolahan's availability and were told they could loan him, no offer has been made following the enquiry though. Bit of a PR stunt by Norwich to try and get us to lump up a little bit more cash?
Guest av1
This thread is great. bj10 gets abused for being negative, even though his points about Lerner not spending are pretty much on the ball. Richard, another respected poster gets abused for being positive and passing on info he was/Is privy to. Some folk are never happy ;-)
AValon
Boggies are welcome to Hoolahan if thats right. Now then, Mr Mulumbu........
Villastine
Gael Kakuta gone to Lazio on a free......pity we didn't bid for him. Impressive signings by Fulham. Prob not good for Darrent Bent though and by extention not good for us. I was hoping there was soem truth in the rumours that West Ham waere interested in him but doesn't look likely now. He'll be back Captaining our 2014 Bomb Squad Edited January 31, 2014 by Villastine

Big_John_10
Just finished an exam, and come back to 17 new pages. An update from anyone would be greatly appreciated Well, BJ 10 pissed off a bunch of people with his negativity and they have been quarelling like in-laws. Several have tried to make Richard out to be a fame-seeking juvenile for keeping faith in something Richard has made clear HH told him. Banned from Hand and a couple others are planning a duel with pistols at 20 paces. Oh, and a really interesting discussion about cell phone coverage and travel times from merseyside. In other words, with lot's of pent up anxiety, we have all become cannibals. Anyone read Lord of the Flies lately? Oh, and you've missed nothing that has anything to do with transfers. Haha summed up pretty well.

Ulver
But passing on so called info that then proves to be bollocks isn't very helpful is it ?
Wes
So the word on the curb is that WBA made an enquiry into Hoolahan's availability and were told they could loan him, no offer has been made following the enquiry though. Bit of a PR stunt by Norwich to try and get us to lump up a little bit more cash? 1) West Brom need an attacking midfielder. 2) Norwich want to get rid of Hoolahan in his current mood* *as long as it isn't to Villa. Taking us out of the picture for the second it works for both those teams.
jacketspuds
Are there really no alternatives to Hoolahan? Shame that we've had all month to sign what Lambert calls a "number 10", as well as (apparently) scouring Europe for players, but we can't even sign a player from Norwich. romavillan Posted January 31, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted January 31, 2014 Calm down people ... Lambert's got FOURTEEN more irons in the fire, he said so himself Don't doubt the man When he said about the don't shit the bed if we don't get 5 of the 15 we're looking at, the point was to not shit the bed. I assume the scouting doesn't have a sell by date and will still stand us in good stead in the summer.

Big_John_10
What surprises me is that clearly Lambert wanted players and yet his biggest fans on here have no problems with the manager they trust to build something good not being backed. Phumfeinz
I'm disappointed we didn't get a solid midfielder, but I'm very happy with Bertrand at least. Edited January 31, 2014 by Phumfeinz
ciggiesnbeer
VILLA: Club source tells @bbcwm that they are unlikely to do any business now this evening. Hoolahan chase may be over. #DeadlineDayBBCWM No surprise. Really we had no other solutions to our midfield crisis than a lazy punt at Norwich? Rolling the dice with our league status two seasons in a row. After all the money we have saved it is terrible we are not addressing our obvious problem.
