Arsenal meant be monitoring Michy Batshuayi that lot of people on here wanted see in summer. He has 14 goals already and is only 20!! would love see him here!! If we could get Michy and Locadia for future players for next few years that would be something..

If Ron's out for a while, anyone think Younes Kaboul on loan from Spurs for the rest of the season would be a decent pick up in January?

A solid enough defender and he's 4th choice there behind Dawson, Vertengohen and Criches.

I was wondering if it might force lambert to increase his interest in Pontus Jansson (Malmo) .....a done deal according to some ITK 's on here......

Popov to Zenit doesn't seem a done deal either if you read the article in full

Aiden McGeady anyone? The papers seem to think we are still in for him despite his ridiculous wages and shitness.

NO THANKS.

a pile of shit that isnt good enough for the Championship, id really question Lambert if we signed shit like him

Ridiculous statement.

He would get a start in our team at the moment and plenty of other Premier League teams too.

However he is probably out of reach financially and if we did have that sort of budget we could probably get better for the money.

no way. I would actually prefer Albrighton or Brett Holman on the wing than McGeady. absolute dreadful player with zero talent at all. Even Stephen Hunt was a better winger for Ireland

If that is your genuine opinion then it’s pointless having a discussion with you.

Just hope the club never appoint you as a scout. [/quote

That works both ways mate......

I lived in Glasgow and Aiden McGeady had no real idea. He used to keep on and on running into deadends. His natural game was like a ten year old plays, keep the ball for himself and never pass to someone who is better positioned. He was also totally absent when it came to working back for the team. He would have to have improved a great deal, mostly mentally to get anywhere near being good enough to play in the premiership. His present club would also want double digit millions for him in compensation for the money they paid out for him.

Wolfsburg have a good 23 year old defensive midfielder, who can also play comfortably at centre back, in Slobodan Medojevic.

Wolfsburg also have a promising young attacking midfielder in 19 year old Maximilian Arnold.

Leverkusan also have a 24 year old defensive midfielder, who can also play as centre back in Stefan Reinartz.

Arsenal have a young defensive midfielder who they might either loan or sell to us, in 21 year old Emmanuel Frimpong.

Frimpong hasn't been the same since petrov broke him

Jansson play much for Sweden?

He is not even in the squad. Said it before here; needs playing time in somewhere like Holland before joining the Premier League.

from what ive seen Milosevic of AIK could be a good potential signing though he is also quite young

Richards is garbage at centre half.

Daniel Agger ain't getting a look in at Liverpool.....

Richards isn't garbage. I'd have him here ahead of Agger but both are non starters sadly.

Thing about Richards is if he mucks up he has the pace to make up for it. I never understood why he hasn't been our first choice right back for England as he is utterly unstoppable once he gets going. Can't see him coming to us, as much as I'd love him to.

At the moment players such as Richards won't be coming to Villa Park on a permanent basis due to the transfer and wage policy in place. We might however bring one in on loan.

thats the idea of this speculation ;)

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/10500208/Kevin-de-Bruyne-keen-to-leave-Chelsea-in-January.html

Kevin de Bruyne hopes to be given the green light to quit Chelsea next week.

The agent of De Bruyne is due to speak to the Blues about a January move away from Stamford Bridge.

German club Wolfsburg want to sign De Bruyne permanently, while Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid are interested in taking the Belgian on loan.

De Bruyne is thought to favour a permanent switch to Wolfsburg. He is concerned he will not be given enough playing time at Atletico, who have already spoken to the 22-year-old's agent.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has tried to assure De Bruyne he will be offered more first-team opportunities over the coming weeks and months.

But the midfielder fears he will not be given enough action at Chelsea to be sure of a World Cup place. And De Bruyne's club and international team-mate Eden Hazard has advised him to leave Stamford Bridge to protect his Belgium spot.

Chelsea signed De Bruyne almost two years ago and he has since spent loan spells at former club Genk and Werder Bremen.

De Bruyne has not played in the Premier League for Chelsea since a five-minute substitute appearance against Fulham in September and was criticised by Mourinho for his display against Swindon in the Capital One Cup.

Says he'd favour a switch to Wolfsburg. Lambert could at least try tempt him to come here on loan, the fact he would get to stay in England and the Premier League might be a decent reason to consider us for a loan deal?
