Jimzk5 Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 So just 4 days after England booked there tickets to Rio, thanks to a white supremacist manager, the proper football returns. Newcastle v Liverpool the early kick off tomorrow, hasn't been a 0-0 draw between these sides in 20 odd years and Newcastles defence is pretty comical at times, can only see a 3/4-0 away win there palace v fulham will be interesting, palace' only win so far was over Di canios Sunderland, losing every other game, discuss 1
The_Rev Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 http://youtu.be/e64cIqth0R4 It seems this just happened over in Germany. Kießling's header just went wide but ended up in the back of the net because there was a hole in the side of the net. Referee awards the goal.

Hate Liverpool fans but it will be more fun if Newcastle lose.

Was it actually given. sort of Hoffenheim own fault for not having their maintenance fixed
The_Rev Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 (edited) It was given and the game ended 2-1 to Leverkusen in the end, so Hoffenheim are probably livid right now. This is another angle of it, probably the closest one to the referee's point of view. It really does look like a goal from here. The blonde striker at the far post celebrates, I presume he genuinely thinks it has gone in too. Edited October 18, 2013 by The_Rev
StefanAVFC Posted October 18, 2013 VT Supporter Posted October 18, 2013 Look at Kiessling's reaction though. Surely that's a big enough indication that it didn't go in.
theboyangel Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Kiessling knew that he had missed - should've owned up to the ref IMO.
BOF Posted October 19, 2013 Moderator Posted October 19, 2013 Kiessling did own up I thought. I've seen stuff like that end in a replay. Wouldn't rule it out. And it's the ref's job to make sure nets are fixed. These officials are in for a grilling and rightly so.
LondonLax Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Liverpool look poor. They have done since Coutinho got injured.
villaguy Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Newcastle looking very good today, can't see the game staying like this for the full 90 though
Kwan Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Looks like PL isn't the only one with delusions to make the 3-5-2 work
Zatman Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 I really hate Jeff Stelling, his defence of shit British managers is a disgrace. 1st he said McLeish did a good job at Villa and now he is declaring Allardyce should be managing a big club
