  1. Elphick has been immense over the last few games, I would leave him in in the side for a few more weeks until JT is fully fit and ready to play again. Love his passion at the end of the games.
  2. No, completely different to when it was done for O'Leary. Just get behind the team at Villa Park.
  3. I actually quite like this side. Davis & Whelan both need a rest so leaving them at home makes sense today. Give both Onomah and Jedinak 45 minutes to step up their game and then introduce Grealish second half against a tired defence. Really want to see RHM today, I think he could make an impact.
  4. Best player on the pitch today, it was a shame the players around him let him down.
  5. Can't understand how anyone can blame Johnstone for the goals... First one he came off his line to cover for the centre backs, realised he wasn't making it and backtracked. Realistically if he had stayed on his line it would have been a one on one and still a goal. Second one was a one on one and he was unlucky. Jedinak's error all day long.
  6. Hogan's best chance of scoring goals is either playing off Davis or with Grealish in behind him. Today he was brought on with Davis going off and Grealish moving wide. He then had balls lumped forward for the last 15 minutes. Confidence is shattered, a goal or two playing in a team set up to aid him would do him the world of good.
  7. Even by January 2nd this league could look very different. We play 2 of the teams in the top 6, if we can take points there then we are back in it ( I know its a big if) Wolves are gone now, like Newcastle last season there is no point discussing catching them. Cardiff will slip at some point, although they have the easiest Christmas run in. Bristol have Wolves and Villa to play. Derby have Hull, Ipswich and Sheff Utd to play. Sheff Utd have Villa and Derby. As always its up to us to get back on the front foot and pick some points up in a crucial period. We just need Bruce to step up and let us play in a way we all know we can.
  8. Johnstone Hutton Chester Elphick Taylor Hourihane Jedinak Snodgrass Grealish Adomah Davis Subs: Steer, Elmo, RDL, Whelan, Onomah, Hogan, Agbonlahor Hard decision on Jedinak or Elphick at the back, but I think we need to take Whelan out of the firing line for a week or two. Elphick should also have a bit more experience at CB against a decent striker in Leon Clarke. Davis back in as the focal point of the attacks, switching him for Hogan if it's not working. Grealish to retain his place over Onomah as he is our best attacking outlet currently.
  9. Made me laugh... http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/11176272/messi-alba-nutmeg-gil
  10. This is the worry, by the time we decide to get rid we will be out of contention. I already think automatics are beyond us now.
  11. I would sack him tonight just for turning up at a promotion rival and not playing a striker alone. Absolutely pathetic. We are awful to watch, constantly going backwards to the defence, it's like watching us in the season we were relegated. Sack him, offer it to someone who will utilise our squad so that we are on the front foot in games as we should be.
  12. Bring a bloody striker on. Onomah has barely been in this game through no fault of his own. Hogan running the channels will give the likes of Grealish & Adomah more time on the ball if nothing else. The amount of times we are getting to the edge of their box and then turning round and going back to the centre backs is embarrassing.
  13. Johnstone Elmo Chester Jedinak (Terry if fit) Taylor Hourihane Whelan Snodgrass Grealish Adomah Hogan Subs: Steer Elphick DeLaet Hutton Lansbury Onomah Davis Time to freshen up a bit, resting Davis and giving Hogan a chance. With Grealish in behind him he has a chance of some balls on the deck for him to play off. Elmo in for Hutton for his early deliveries into the box and less hoof ball upto Hogan who can't play off the long balls. It would be nice for Terry to be back for this, but Jedinak would do as well here. I believe Samba is injured.
  14. Time to throw him in up front with Grealish in behind him, giving Davis a rest. If it's not working, second half bring on Davis to play alongside him. This is the month we need him to prove his worth the most, otherwise he needs selling in January to help fund a scoring striker.
  15. Why would Hutton play at left back & where has Bree come from ahead of Elmo & Hutton at right back? Again why would Adomah move back to the right after being our best player of the season on the left, with Snodgrass being benched. Very strange... are you Eric Black in disguise?
  16. No it really couldn't... That team would currently be battling relegation with Blues
  17. Does this annoy you... sat at Chelsea’s training ground, in their training gear receiving treatment for his injury? Is this not what Bodymoor Heath is for?!
  18. I see the anti-Bruce brigade are back out in force as soon as we start losing a game... Poor first half but we can still get back into this, Whelan & Onomah have been poor. Grealish on for Onomah at half time to pick some passes out further up the pitch, bring Snodgrass, Adomah and Davis into the game. Lansbury for Whelan at some point for a bit more energy in the middle.
  19. Interested in this so did the digging... Adomah is currently on 8 goals this season in all competitions. Ashley Young managed to score 9 in 09/10 & 10/11 so Albert needs two more to beat that... I can't think of the last prolific winger we had prior to Young Midfield wise, Milner scored 12 in 09/10
  20. Great performance, wasn't expecting that after going behind early on. Davis was immense up top, everything stuck to him today. Snodgrass and Adomah were superb down either side and Onomah was brilliant on the ball driving forward with it. Back four were solid and Hourihane and Whelan did a great job shielding and moving the ball out. Solid 3 points, onto Tuesday!
  21. You've talked me into it! I haven't yet gone 4K so will have to make the TV & Xbox One X purchase over Christmas
  22. Anyone get their Xbox One X today? Is the difference majorly noticeable? I'm just looking for an excuse to part with my money.
  23. Players on a season-long loan can be recalled by parent clubs in the January transfer window but only if the two clubs have agreed a recall clause in advance. A loan deal can be cancelled at any time in the season if both clubs concerned agree.
  24. I've been wanting us to give a Hogan a chance for weeks now playing alongside Davis, unfortunately it didn't work and I don't think he's going to fit into our plans.
