  1. Cheers for the advice Stevo, I might go for the 'treat' once I start seeing results. It is an ardious task trying to tick all the boxes but I think I've got it close enough now. Started it on Friday and so far this is all I have eaten. It's boring but filling and I'm looking at it from a perpective that all food is now is fuel and it is all a means to an end. I'll put down here what my current diet consists of and you can all either shoot it down or offer suggestions otherwise.... as mentioned above I've calculated I need 2700 calories per day totals = protein 225 g / 888 calories carbs 313 g / 1252 calories and fat 62 g / 560 Breakfast requires 45g protein (P) 50g carbs © 30g fat (F) 50g shreddies with 200ml whole milk - P 11.5 / C 46 / F 8 x2 boiled eggs - P 12 / C 0.5 / F 10 25g nuts - P 7 / C 2 / F 12.5 Totals - P 30.5 / C 48.5 / F 30.5 Lunch (pre-workout) requires 45g protein (P) 110g carbs © 20g fat (F) 110g pasta - P 12.5 / C 80 / F 2.5 100g chicken breast - P 20 / C 2 / F 2 20g nuts - P 5.6 / C 1.5 / F 10 200ml milk - P 6.4 / C 9.4 / F 7.2 1 apple - P 0.5 / C 19 / F 0.2 Totals - P 45 / C 112 / F 22 Post Workout Shake requires 45g protein (P) 62g carbs © - 45g whey protein Carbs x2 banans @ 27g each = 54g & half an apple 10g (I don't like apples) Dinner (post-workout) requires 45g protein (P) 78g carbs © and as little fat as possible so I'm having - 80g pasta - P 8.3 / C 53 / F 1.5 100g chicken breast - P 20 / C 2 / F 2 x2 slices wholemeal bread - P 5 / C 24 / F 2 150g low fat cottage cheese - P 18.5 / C 4 / F 1.5 Totals - P 51.8 / C 83 / F 7 Finally, before bed requires 45g protein (P) 20g carbs © 15g fat (F) 25g shreddies with 100ml whole milk - P 6.3 / C 23 / F 4 25g nuts - P 7 / C 2 / F 12.5 30g whey protein P 23.7 / C 3 / F 1 Totals - P 37 / C 28 / F 17.5 All in all over 24 hours total intake of Protein is 209g, Carbs are 335g and Fat intake is 77g so I'm under on Protein & a bit over on the Carbs & Fat. Is this going to make a whole lot of difference on the grand scheme of things or should I look even closer and get the totals closer? As mentioned earlier any comments or input is gladly accepted
  2. It's ok I've done it now. Thanks anyway though?
  3. Thanks for the links, I've spent the entire day today working out a diet plan for the fat loss programme which I will intend to follow religiously. Couple of questions though if nobody would mind answering - I've calculated I need 2700 calories per day total broken down as follows protein 225 g / 888 calories carbs 313 g / 1252 calories and fat 62 g / 560 calories now correct me if i'm wrong but that does'nt look like a lot to eat over the course of a day but hey ho, this is a diet after all. Has anybody else done this and with what types of food/meals have they shoe horned all the macronutrients into their diet? Would the diet only be applied on workout days or would this apply daily, regardless of workout or should I be working out daily. I'm sure I have another host of questioned but this will do for now thanks.
  4. I'm having a go again this year, only to see if I can better last years effort of raising £0 for charity, which I already have, surprisingly. Also running an auction where the winner gets to pick a colour and I'll dye it for the weekend 1 & 2 December.
  5. An old boss of mine where I used to work built an extension on his house and had air conditioning fitted for his two dogs at a cost of about 12 grand. I asked him for a raise and got told to **** off so I quit. So basically I lost my job because of his dogs.
  6. They dug up and posthumously executed Oliver Cromwell, so why not?
  7. The whole Being:Liverpool programme is becoming a bit of a disaster isn't it? You really couldn't make it up, it reminds me of a sporting equivalent of The Office.
  8. The 3 you mention, Garcia, Hanson & Lawrie are all there on merit. For Harrington to be there would have left either Colsaerts or Poulter at home. I know who I would rather have there. I'm not sure you know what you are talking about.
  9. Another post made without reading any of the evidence The fans were never to blame, the original Taylor report said so - fact There is NO EVIDENCE of large numbers of ticketless fans - its in the Taylor report - again FACT The police were to blame - again, that is who the original Taylor report also blamed But lets take your ridiculous notion one stage further. If only the fans who had tickets turned up, they would have had to arrive 2 hours before kick off to guarantee getting in on time. There were 10,100 tickets available for the Leppings Lane terrace, the were only 7 working turnstiles, turnstiles let through 750 people an hour. It would take 2 hours to get everyone through. Also if you actually know how the road layout was at the time, the LL end is in a dead end once you've gone into it (with no police control) you're **** in a crush. People who can't be arsed to actually read what happened and just spout ill-informed shite really do make a mockery of themselves. Dress it up how you like - the scousers have had 23 years to prepare there case - Had the police continually sought evidence over these 23 years - they may have been able to counter this weeks findings. Its up to you what you believe - but just because something is in an official report - doesn't make it a stonewall fact IMO. Whats happening now is a whitewash in favour of the scousers. I suspect the mistake they will make is to go for prosecutions. If they do they may find the 'accused' are just as capable of gathering evidence. Oh, and while I'm on the subject, you are an absolute disgrace.
  10. This has probably been said before but I've tried looking at this from a different viewpoint. At the time of this tragedy there was a deep undercurrent of nasty behaviour going on within football culture as a whole. The grounds generally were unsafe and not fit for purpose, as many have said, this was an accident waiting to happen. When the Hillsborough disaster struck The police were of course aware of where the blame lay but had they admitted this at the time, what would have been the immediate reaction? By isolating the Liverpool fans, the police and the Government found a likely scapegoat. This action was taken to avoid what I imagine the Government considered possible Marshall Law across Britain if the immediate truth were to be uncovered. Obviously this had to be avoided. What the conspirators did not consider was the will of the Liverpool people to keep this issue alive. Over the years there has been a sense of growing separation between Liverpool and the rest of the UK whilst the truth of what really happened was fought to be revealed. The families of the 96 have now won the first round of that fight and hopefully can go on to find closure over the coming years.
  11. I've got myeslf into a 2 days on, 1 day off routine now and yesterday was the day off. I'll be going after work today and I actually cannot wait. This is not like me at all.
  12. You lot seem to know what your talking about, feel free to shoot me down! Just embarked on a fitness regime, I have a bet with a mate of mine to complete a half marathon next summer and noticed this thread might be a good way of keeping the motivation and advice. Bit out of shape at the moment, 14 stone 7 lb, 5'9" so not particularly athletic.... Lost about half a stone so far through diet, two weeks ago gave up bread and basically have only eaten sliced beef, ham, grilled fish, boiled fried and scrambled eggs, chicken breast and salad. Food wise it is boring compared to the constant deluge of take outs that I'd become used to but feel a lot healthier for it already. The other problem I think I might have is I don't particularly regiment meal times, rather snack when hungry albeit always on the foods mentioned above. I'm thinking adding porridge or weetabix to breakfast time would help as someone mentioned earlier? In the gym, I've started light but a 3 min warm up brisk walk, followed by 10 mins jog and 10 mins on the cross trainer. Following this with various reps on the weights which are all arms, back, chest and stomach excerises totalling 120 reps at various weights between 10-20kg. I'm planning on completing this routine 4-5 times per week, with a swim thrown in for good measure twice a week. I guess I'm looking for advice as to wether this is a good route to take to reach my 12 month goal, or will I find that the half marathon difficult due to there not being enough cardio? I do of course plan to increase the cardio once I've shifted some weight. Another fear is that I might be over doing it? Any advice greatfully recieved.
  13. Been watching this back from S1 on Netflix and had forgotten how good it was. Compelling viewing.
