  1. I remember going to first game after lock down in the Upper Holte and there were no locks on 2 out 3 toilets in one I was in. They’d had months to fix it but no, beyond the realms of possibility.
  2. I hope you are right. I always try and watch the “vs” vids on YT which show you all touches in a game. Few on there for Diaby not exactly encouraging (could easily have been a Bailey performance). But very small sample size so if he does come hopefully those who have seen him play properly will be right.
  3. Thing is for Bailey he has never consistently been able to beat his man one on one. He has moments here and there but he doesn’t have the pace, tricks, strength to overpower most PL full backs. So priority number one in any player we buy in that position is to rectify that weakness. Never seen Diaby play so no idea if he’s stronger than Bailey in these points or not.
  4. How many seats are we losing by having no North stand for 2yrs and how many season ticket holders are there currently? Assuming the North stand season tickets will be relocated in rest of stadium for 2yrs and it’ll basically be impossible for anyone else to go.
  5. This man walked past the front of my house last night. Can confirm he was smaller than expected.
  6. Thing is with Kamada - if PL clubs were interested would there be a hope in hell of him going to Milan? Suggests the PL scouts are put of by something. Not sure what it is but no way Italian clubs can compete with PL for free transfers these days.
  7. I'm really hoping Threads takes off and serves to kill off Twitter. I wont be going to threads the idea of feeding Zuckerberg more millions is not going to happen for me at least. But killing off twitter would genuinely improve my life. I am utterly addicted to it and its a complete waste of time.
  8. Seems like the cost of Chuckwueze will be in 25-35m euro bracket. Given we are linked to almost every right winger in Europe I guess we’ll be aware of this.
  9. Presumably you’ll only be able to go into this new bar if your sat in North stand? Or possibly Trinity too? Part of the attraction of Villa Live thing was you could go there before and after the game like at the rugby or other PL teams. Hope they come back to it, no idea what the problems involved were but seems like an opportunity missed.
  10. I remember at the time when our defenders were on this steep learning curve thinking now here’s a player who knows how to do it.
  11. #VBM OUT ! Bloke hasnt got a clue. Bring back Unai !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. About to get paid millions of £s to struggle to displace the local Saudi amateur from the team. What is interesting though is Dignes wages are so high not even the Saudi’s can compete. I’ve got a friend who works in football finance. He said Digne was offered same package as Messi to go and play in Saudi. He just laughed in their face and threw his phone to a homeless person.
  13. Can’t see us doing them any favours.
  14. Hhhmmm wonder if there is anything in the random Diego Carlos link someone posted before.
  15. Mmmmm some interesting ideas. I would counter this with knocking the whole thing on the head. Nobody needs to see any more of these films.
  16. Assuming its the fridge being filled with red wine.
  17. With regards to Johnson. Id guess that we are “interested” in most tricky/quick right wingers in Europe. As in they are on a list and we’ve enquired as to the possibility of a deal happening. What we don’t know is the order of those names on the list. That’s the crucial bit and what keeps us all guessing.
  18. Agreed didn’t see it in real time but watching the clip not sure what the fuss is all about. Imagine he’s in the slips and catches the ball and then slides the ball along along the ground. Not a catch.
  19. Hhhmmm like a lot of the reports of Musks/Twitters imminent demise seems like BS. I’ve been trying to break the limit for the past hour and failed must have viewed a lot more than 600 posts.
  20. I wouldn’t worry - no release clause so anyone who wants him badly enough would get absolutely rinsed. Very difficult to see it happening.
  21. Another morsel for the meat grinder. On Ferran Torres - seems to play most of his football from left so guess club will be looking at him as an alternative to Harvey Barnes. On one hand he’ll be cheaper than Barnes as for sure Spammers will go hard (Kenneth) for Barnes and have lots of money post Rice. However my feel is part of low “fee” for Torres is Barca creating room for any buying club to be able to pay his wages. Torres also seems like the more intelligent player, you don’t get picked by Pep unless you’ve got great football brains. Should hopefully help us control games which is a key part of Emery plan. So on paper it all stacks up. There is just something that worries me. Does Barnes, someone who is already settled in area and has lots of PL experience make more sense than Ferran Torres who got homesick living in UK not that long ago and has VERY clearly verbalised his ambitions not to move on several occasions this summer?
  22. A fair point, given how much emphasis he placed on playing out from the back it’s no surprise he wants what the kids call a “baller” in there.
  23. I think plan is to play a lot of games this season and give ourselves options in all of them. So far we've signed Tielemans to give cover/competitions/options for Douglas Luiz and potentially Torres to do the same for Mings. They were two front runners for player of the season this year. All it tells us so far is that Unai really meant it when he said he wanted two good players for every position. Bodes well in my book for the rest of the squad and our summer plans.
  24. And the rest. Would be perfect for us but very little chance in it happening.
