  1. Yeah, I had one of them once, small office, lot of women working there, had the consistency of a rusty water pipe. Sorry ladies.

    Ice rink

The smile of a pervy uncle that.
  3. Genuine question, because I'm not familiar. What's this about? Was it just a money pit for big construction and shoving more people into the City?
  4. Can't remember which thread it was in, but someone (maybe @bickster) recommended steaks from Aldi recently. I love a steak sandwich, and to be honest with you, the cut doesn't matter too much when it's going between bread, as long as it's relatively tender when cooked properly. Picked up 4 pre packaged, already rubbed with chimichurri for about £6, maybe less. Absolutely superb, onions cooked in garlic oil, a spread of grainy mustard, a soft roll. Could've had a bit more spice on em, but I think I probably burnt half of it off. But for the money, 3 belting sarnies. I shall be going back. Thanks Bicks.
  5. I may be wrong, and absolutely all jokes aside, but I'm sure Wolverhampton was one of the highest rates around here? Fair play, football is football, life is everything.
  6. I'm guessing by the comment you weren't in Lille? Because we met a Villa fan over there that drove (I think) from Germany to go to the game - If it was you, nice to see you at the Witty A the other week, if it wasn't, ignore me
  7. I think the confusion about when/where the lino flags could be easily avoided if they never flagged at all for offside, it's always going to VAR anyway isn't it? (Not that I'm for that, I **** hate VAR, but surely it's a more consistent approach)
  8. Ooooh okay, I didn't realise there was history behind it like that, makes a lot more sense now.
  9. Preach. I do also think the club is partly to blame for that too. Given the 'punishments' they put in a year or two ago about sharing tickets not in your name doesn't really help. If you've had a ST and you know you're not going to make the match, why would the club not want a populated seat? The whole resell thing doesn't sit well with me, not even close. BUT - I do think there should be something extra for the membership crew, of course.
  10. Ok, I see your point now. I don't know your age or your background, but I do know people that have STs for 2/3 years that have managed to get Europa away tickets this season. It's not easy, even for the ones that have a lot of booking history, but that's the game. I'm pro membership, as long as it doesn't rip punters off, but also, don't drop the ST, that's what it's all about. Maybe the correct solution would be for the club to address the waiting list, but that's not my area of expertise. Maybe a ballot for tickets for those on the waiting list? Set a certain amount of seats aside? You can't be punishing the people that did Preston away in the Championship when Fat Ross missed a penalty because there's a waiting list now. That doesn't sit well with me.

    Legend Nor-Cal, thank you
  12. Ok, let's do this. You have one recipe you can share with the rest of the group. Simple or complex as you like, doesn't have to be your own, just one recipe you'd recommend to everyone else. This is mine. Relatively easy breakfast, takes time but not too much attention. Makes a cracking hangover breakfast. It's almost a Bloody Mary on a plate. https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/easy-huevos-rancheros

Nope, no kids. Free spirit over here. Did NY and absolutely LOVED IT. Much more than I thought I would. I'm not much of a 'tourist' but NY did it so well. Have seen Florida a couple of times as a kid, was fine but quite happy to not go back again now. All the other places you mention, I'll check them, thank you. I need a big holiday at some point soon (too busy following the mighty Villa round Europe atm, what a problem to have) and really fancy a bit of a tour of the USA
  14. Christ that's awful. It almost feels like they've made it THAT bad to make to it viral for the charity. If I saw a grown man wearing that in B&Q I think I'd have a stroke trying to work out what it was (oo-er / kw.gif)

    Where would you recommend?
  16. Enjoy the trip tho, sounds like it might be an expensive one
  17. Oh @choffer - never rely on the Civil Service to let you down when you need them too brother
  18. Point was more about how it's only become a thing in recent years - not having a food allergy. I'm sure food allergies have been around forever, whereas I went out a month or so ago and they asked me the question before they'd even took me to the table, and then when I ordered too. That's never been the usual protocol.
  19. The question I was trying to ask but articulated very poorly. Thank you. I'm all for the membership, I think there's a few clubs that do it, and if I'm not mistaken, I think Liverpool charge a fortune for theirs and it's still a ballot? I might be wrong, but there was definitely something murky about it. But there's a big difference between a ST and a Membership, in almost every way.
  20. These updates are superb, thank you
