  1. Ye looked like someone who used to play premier league football. Annoyingly though he wasnt getting the basics right, which should be the minimum. Was a really poor pass from him which 5 seconds later saw house and Konsa probably deserve to be sent off.
  2. I'd agree with the poor run angle to some extent as it happened last season. But where it is different this year is that he doesnt know his best formation, he doesnt know his personnel in either formation, the players have lost their discipline and we have literally not been in the last two games. Atleast when we were bad last season, we were generally still in games to the end. The counter to it all is that as you say, a month ago we came away from Old Trafford and everything was great. Smith therefore needs time to rectify this. Another couple of games like this though, performances and scoreline and his job is in the balance youd think.
  3. Hause should have def gone for me. Absolutely stupid thing to do.
  4. It absolutely wasnt as clear cut as the commentary team were making out. I get that if you go through the back of a player then it's a pen. But if the players doing the splits you can obviously kick through to the ball. The arsenal player is clever and lunges towards Targett playing the ball. I suppose it's only what Grealish used to do for us. Annoying though that the refs take was that it was fine when 2 yards away from it. He wasnt shown anything different on the monitor to what he saw live.
  5. The ref mouthed "he won the ball" to the Arsenal player appealing immediately after the challenge. That was the refs take when right in front of the incident. He's then shown footage of the incident from an angle miles away and changes his mind.
  6. He so often has that shot at the keepers near post, and it's so rare that itll go in.
  7. We really didn't look right today with the 3 at the back. It felt too congested, and doesnt always seem like they know their responsibilities. To me, simplistically, Tuanzebe isnt a good enough quality player to be starting games. When we signed him I felt that he is ok back up.
  8. They've been the poorest two for me, Buendia just shades it. Watkins getting booked after a minute told you all you needed to know about tonight sadly.
  9. Targett makes the challenge. The nearest Arsenal player appeals to the ref. And the ref who is 3 yards away and staring at the challenge mouths, "He won the ball". 2 mins later he is invited to look at a faulty tv of the incident from a view which was inferior to the one he originally had.
  10. Dust has settled, we got the 3 points and they missed the penalty. But I really dont think that the Hause handball should be considered a penalty. Hes basically stood with his arms where they are, the cross comes in and its deflected on to his arm, which hasn't moved. I wouldnt want to win a penalty in that manner in the same way you dont want to concede one that way.
  11. The starting eleven we had v Man U, is it still both the youngest and most with homegrown players in the league?
  12. I dont think they're free hits at all. I suppose it depends what we mean by free hits. On the one hand I kind of agree in that I wont be devastated if we lose any of those fixtures. But equally I think we should be targeting 8 to 10 points from them. It's not like us in the premier league years ago when that was a nailed on 2 to 3 points max. We took 7 from them last year and were very much in most of the games until the last few minutes.
  13. It would literally be the worst idea if this were to happen, or even trialled, absolute carnage. And this is from some one who would like a beer in the stands.
  14. I dont get the petrol thing. Once you've got petrol thats it right? Or is it people filling up cans? It's not like people are moaning about queuing to fill up, filling up, then just driving 500 miles to then join another queue later in the day when they need more. People arent driving any.more than usual? I dont get the maths of it I think I mean. It's not like toilet rolls where people could stockpile hundreds.
  15. I'm not just a massive advocate of his, but how exciting is he now?! Wow!
  16. It's why he has so few assists, bad decision making, always wanting to shoot even when theres players much better placed.
  17. Thanks for posting this. Pretty much what I wanted to say. Overnight, they added more than 50% of seats by switching grounds. Would be like us increasing to 60k plus this season and wondering why theres 15 to 20k empty seats. It's better that it's not filled by glory hunters, but it will do increasingly if they sustain their current position.
  18. What a brilliant half of football he played. That driving run and shot I hadn't seen from him last season. Looks stronger and more purposeful this season. Keep it up!
  19. His brother seems way more of a goal threat than Jacob.
  20. I must have missed it, but has he fully retired from football? And Elmo too?
