  1. Is Mings back in training or still away following the euros?
  2. Ye, he is nearly 21. I suppose time will tell.
  3. No but the point is that it isnt a challenge. It's like when people say he needs to leave to be ambitious. Surely getting villa into the top 4 is far more of a challenge/ambitious than signing up for a PL winners medal with Man City? City are odds on to win the league, Liverpool are second favourites at 6/1. Close to a one horse race.
  4. They've taken down pictures of Grealish in the club shop but they're still letting loads of people have him on their shirts in the same shop? Honestly sick of these summers and Grealish links.
  5. I see what you're saying and kind of agree, but isnt it a bit like the season ticket situation. Those that had season tickets in the championship are now able to watch us doing well in the premier league. And those now showing interest or new fans need to join a waiting list. If we have that 2.5k core of away fans that went to Arsenal, Man U, Spurs away etc for years when we lost every game, and then Barnsley and Rotherham etc midweek away in the championship, I wouldn't then as someone who hadn't been away much expect to get away tickets next season at Watford, Everton, Spurs etc. Thats for them. I dont see how a ballot system would work in terms of building up a history, because if you put 500 or 1000 to ballot as part of a 2.5k allocation, those with a decent history dont get tickets allocated. Makes it even more of a closed shop.
  6. Isnt it just Mings and Buendia? So about 10%. I mean obvious answer is that most chants are likely started by pissed up lads/men in pubs. It's not like the club has come up with the song having put it to a vote.
  7. I wonder if theres a reluctance to offer any more than a small allocation to away fans, due to Covid. Walsall will be half empty tonight, as will this Bristol city game.
  8. The one year I was in the side stand, there was a little bar. Not sure if that's still there/open. In terms of drinking near the ground I've only ever been to that hotel.
  9. Really weird at the end when Jordan basically asks what the source was for the Grealish on the verge of signing for £100 mil to man city story. And Jim White just says do you not read the newspapers? Hahaha.
  10. Ye but I dont think we've got the whole of that side stand yet, prob a third along or max up to the half way line. Shame as I'd imagine thale ground will be half full. Unless villa fans buy loads in the Walsall end.
  11. I had the same thing when trying to get tickets for my 4 and 8 year olds at edgbaston cricket recently. Said I couldn't proceed with the booking until I provided an email address for each of them, which couldn't be mine. Ridiculous.
  12. Why, because of Covid concerns/restrictions. Its happened plenty of times that we sell out the allocation at Walsall then additional blocks are made available. Will just be home stands full of villa fans otherwise.
  13. A week today the game is. Youd have thought they'd be out by now.
  14. I really dont get this from people saying why should 19 year old Saka take a penalty. Age has no bearing on penalties.
  15. Ye, the only thing that makes you question that is that he recently had a much lower transfer fee. But ye I agree.
  16. Kind of linked to what I was thinking about the other day. Who were the last three players we sold for £10 million plus?
  17. Plenty to chose from but the Man U FA cup game takes it for me. The late turnaround, followed by the pitch invasion, and it being Man U. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to give them the whole of the lower doug ellis. Asking for trouble.
  18. I'd have thought much more than that, 30-40k region. But its very difficult to gauge.
  19. And welcoming Martinez back! Would imagine full capacity now then, and tickets will go on sale in next week or so?
  20. That's cool. I wonder who was the last premier league team to field a 1 to 11 of their squad numbers.
  21. Grealish started the game before Germany, which was his only start. Which coincidentally is the only time England have scored in the first half.
