  1. 100% agree. We'd be around 7th/8th now if we hadn't capitulated against Wolves. We've had a fairly average season so far.
  2. How would you consider 10th as achievable? We're 10th right now having just lost 6 of the last 9 and sacking the manager. Surely 10th is the minimum?
  3. But seriously the linesman will go home tonight, and he just got the two key decisions wrong, because he isnt a robot. Just use cameras and an alert system for offside, put them out their misery. A bit like they have the ball crossing the goal line.
  4. VAR is an absolute farce. What even is the point of linesman.
  5. Its annoying that they dont ever say, "we got it wrong". Its not like that would be an issue.
  6. His touch is way better than it was. He is taking the touch and attracting players in before releasing it. It's as if he believes more in his own footballing abilities now. It's good also to see his personality coming out. He is majorly celebrating goals, and leading the post match celebration at the holte end. Great to see.
  7. I always think we should be number two. Bournemouth being number one is ridiculous.
  8. Wow! We were going halves of seasons with no goals from corners! It always annoyed me because I felt that Konsa and Mings should be more trouble than they were. Maybe it was the delivery/lack of plan that was the issue.
  9. What a turnaround in this department. We look a serious threat from corners, and long may it continue.
  10. Ye will buy online on the day, just cant commit to ordering now as only know if can attend Tues afternoon. Cheers. Drove to the youth cup final and parked in that car park up from Witton station. Do you know how parking works for much smaller crowds, like can you park on the club car park?
  11. Are there no trains running after the game?
  12. We've got Leicester at home in the FA youth cup on Tuesday, anyone know if you can pay on the gate or is it just tickets in advance? Cheers
  13. He's done those half hearted blocks a few times now, Bailey.
  14. I said that on the way out of the ground last night. Even had that crucial reflex save from their keeper.
  15. I dont really have a lot of judgement when we play man city, but I think the players gave it their all. I kind of feel sorry for their travelling fans because their hardcore probably dont want them to win every game. Although the fact that they rival Liverpool and Man U may alter that somewhat.
  16. Sick as in good? I cant keep up with the lingo these days.
  17. I dont agree with the moaning about the most expensive seats in the ground being £50 against Man City. I'm sure Blues charge about £30-35 most weeks and tickets in Solihull Moors division are generally £15-£20. The cost of all event tickets has gone up ridiculously in the last 5 years, and I'd say if anything Villa ticket prices generally havent kept up with the increases.
  18. Its mad to think that if we'd held on those last ten mins v Wolves we would be 6th in the league right now. Well obviously assuming Smith would have still left when he did.
  19. This is pretty much like us away at Sheff U last season. Lose one nil with them down to ten men.
  20. There was the Grealish one when he made his league debut for Man City, and a lad runs on and asks for it off him. I dont know how much a match worn premier league shirt goes for online but for the league debut of the most expensive league player I wouldnt be surprised if it fetches £500 plus. I'd be interested to know if the parents get into any bother with it.
  21. Oh no I completely agree with us being reasonably sure of the teams that will be involved in the key battles come the end of the season. I think Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool will get CL and all or two of them could likely compete for the title. I think Norwich and Newcastle will struggle for the majority of the season and could likely be in relegation places come the end of the season. Other than that I/we dont/cant know. It was funny, I just completely inadvertently came across Agbonlahor on talk sport saying that there were 7 teams in this years relegation battle, and he didnt include us presumably because we moved up a few places to 11th. We'll no doubt be back in this supposed battle again next weekend. I've realised it's just me having an issue with the phrase "relegation battle" and is probably better served in things that piss you off that shouldn't. My other one is "must win game" which is applied to pretty much every game, most of which dont have any bearing on anything.
  22. Parents sending their children on to football pitches to demand shirts off footballers.
  23. The one that stuck recently with me was going in the toilet in the lower Holte at half time and there must have been about 200 blokes crammed in there smoking, chanting etc. And then you go to the supermarket masked up and told to keep your distance in the queue.
  24. What is the celebration about, out of interest?
