They said on sky that this was the first time we have come back from being 2-0 down in the premier league to get a point in 8 years. That's incredible if right. I suppose we were out of the division for a few years.

Completely different noise that chant after the equaliser. The place would have gone absolutely nuts with a winner. It felt like celebrations similar to goals v Blues.

With the signings of Digne and Coutinho, we now have a really strong squad, and I feel that we saw that today. You think the likes of McGinn, Bailey, Traore, Nakamba etc. missing and we still had really strong options. Also, how often do we bring on players that positively influence the game like Coutinho and Chuk did. For years our substitutions have been to bring on fresh legs but it has pretty much always been an inferior quality of player coming on. Very exciting times.

I think based on the league game and the cup game against them it's better he plays.

It might just be because hes not at Villa but it feels like hes disappeared. I thought he would be even more prominent at man city but is seems to have gone the other way. -
Its actually quite sad seeing Anwar in that first interview for Everton. I don't want him playing for us but I dont want him playing for anyone else either.

They really cant be bothered can they. I remember away at Burnley last season, they had the screen caption as Elmohamady when he came on and called him Elmohamady in the game.

I think he is one of our better players but he cant just keep going on being unfortunate in front of goal. He hit the woodwork loads last season and was fractionally offside a few times which was also unlucky. But like that chance at Old Trafford the other night, a top striker puts it away, not crashing the effort against the bar. There comes a point where you're not unlucky, more just you cant consistently finish.

Fair play to Luke Shaw for being on both the most expensive LB of all time list and biggest clearing in the woods of all time list.

Coutinho, Bissouma and Digne. What would be a better window, including summer?

Cash just edges him with his athleticism. Both cant cross particularly well. They both seem to play 'percentage crosses' which are invariably headed away, rather than being able to pick anyone out. Youd imagine that if we are to push on that Cash might be replaced at some point.

Was the Konsa and Shaw challenge checked out of interest, they didnt mention anything on the tv coverage?

He's really fragile isnt he, in the challenge, going up for headers. Just not good enough for where we want to be. Shame he hasn't improved or progressed his game as he has come up with so many important goals in the last few years. Would loved him to have kicked on with his career.

Its funny how we see things. I thought the opposite, decent first half but faded second. He did go missing a bit in spells for sure.

Ye he just doesn't progress the ball forward when receiving it. I get the point people make that the quality of Grealish enabled him to do more further forward. When he is free in space to cross too it is so often either charged down or played along the floor for a defender to clear.

Like a lot of our players a lot of good and bad, he has some very classy touches and reads the game well to intercept but can be slow and gives the ball away in dangerous areas.

If that's Ramsey running towards goal and Cavani standing his ground, we absolutely dont get a penalty.

By the way Luke Shaw, I cant stand him. It's odd for me to have a real dislike for a player. Every time I watch him he seems close to being sent off. Got away with 4 bad tackles before getting booked for taking down Ramsey.

Played well on the whole. I think he is very close to getting a run of goals. Like he is readjusting to the premier league pace.
