I would like to ask a (probably) stupid question. I want to get the new Fire HD. I'll be ordering it from the US as it's only $199 and some friends are going there in two weeks. I'll be using outside the US. Will I have full usage of all the bits and bobs on it? I mean, can I download books onto it from Turkey, from the US and UK amazon sites?

Americanisms I can stomach. It's the spelling of words the 'American' way that irks me. People that write program (when not talking about computer related things) instead of programme and the such. I've no problem however with the phrases that we use. It's a common language so we can't start barling when we hear something come back at us. Just yesterday I used 'give me a ball park figure'. Like The İzzard said. ''You say 'erb, we say herb because there's a **** H in it''

My new school cheers me up. It's 5 minutes walk from my house and if my first lesson in my timetable starts at 11 I can roll in at ten to. The benefits of not having to travel for an hour each way and the relaxed time rules means I'm much less stressed and tired.

In my old school (in Turkey) we'd often have students from bordering countries finish their final year at ours. Some of them were from war-torn states who'd often had their education interupted. So we'd have girls aged around 20-21. I don't care. They were bang tidy. However, that is off-topic. I have a feeling that they've fled because they were clost to being found out. There was talk yesterday in the papers about her circle of friends knowing. If they'd been together since 14 then I assume that were looking at the long-term and, naively waiting till she was 16.
