  1. December was pretty good, 4 wins from 5, 4 clean sheets, +7 GD. Not quite as good as September but the main reason he didn't win that one was because we played fewer games than everyone else.
  2. Of the 4 months so far this season he has 3 nominations and 1 win. No other manager has more than 2 nominations
  3. Not the sensational week I'd hoped for but basically every big asset faltered which can't really be predicted. Half my points were from my defence and that would have been an even higher percentage if I didn't decide to cheap out on half of them to fit Lacazette in. Non free hit team would've scored 24 (plus 6 as I'd have transferred in Holding which makes 30) so I got 33 points for my FH chip which is a good return as far as I'm concerned. It also let me focus on bringing in DGW players but I did a shite job of that tbh. Not even close to BB now with SOU LEE postponed but I was never really sold on it anyway. I'll probably take a -4 or -8 to bring in some nailed premium defenders and maybe whack TC on KDB or Salah.
  4. Hopefully he scores the goal that takes them above Blues
  5. A bit worrying but for context they were shite before as well
  6. I think it would've made more sense if they'd moved Spurs' FA cup game to next midweek and we played them on the 23rd. The Newcastle game can be played in any European midweek whereas the Spurs game will be hard to schedule. This is the second best option though.
  7. That's a strong case, the counter argument being that game weeks very rarely span two weekends, and midweek GWs (like GW 20) tend to only be kept as such when they're bookended by two other GWs. One game on the Saturday and then more midweek would be more normal than some on the weekend, then more midweek, then another the following weekend I think. Another argument in favour of 19 would be that deadlines aren't brought forward by massive amounts so close to the date. It's pretty unprecedented either way though, it's a toss up imho.
  8. So now the game against Everton is all but confirmed off Villa go down to SGW preliminarily but it looks like either we'll either play against Newcastle on FA cup weekend which should be added to GW19 or because they have a much tighter schedule we'll play spurs at the weekend and they'll move their FA cup game forward to midweek and then just play Newcastle some point on a European midweek. So Villa players currently have EVE, MCI but will probably end up with MCI, NEW or if the PL are sensible then MCI, TOT. Spurs currently have SHU but could end up with SHU, AVL Newcastle currently have ARS but will most likely have ARS, AVL There is still also the slight possibility that our game against Man City gets postponed which would **** everything up even more. All of this probably won't be confirmed until after the deadline and there's also the frightening possibility that the extra game, whichever it is, is tacked onto the start of GW20 not the end of GW19. In summary, I have no idea what kind of shape my team is in, who to captain, what transfer to do or what to plan for.
  9. Probably a tinfoil hat moment but judging by how sneaky we've been with pretending Barkley is coming back every game just to disrupt opponents preparations, seeing that actually made me worried that he actually is suffering and won't play but they've posted an old video to pretend he is.
  10. What a rollercoaster that would've been for Sterling owners. Why didn't KDB just friggin' have it?
  11. For someone who claims 'his job is to get the team into the box and it's the players job from there' he really does seem to undervalue the art of finishing. I think it might be partly because he's had at least one of the best goalscorers of the generation in every team he's ever managed.
  12. Watching City play without a striker reminds me of this gif
  13. He was but I'm sure he had a very David Brent moment where he went down and sat on the bench and started trying to make substitutions. The size of the ego on that man.
  14. Owning City attackers not named Kevin De Bruyne is bad for my health. I would have loved to pick Sterling but once bitten twice shy and Pep has bitten me more times than I can count. Wouldn't be surprised with a Sterling brace or a Sterling 3 minute cameo and a Mahrez brace
  15. I wanted a SHU defender but could only afford Ampadu. 3 lovely undeserved bonus points for me thank you very much. I'll use them to wipe my tears next week when SOU-LEE is postponed and so is our match and I suddenly have 6 less DGWers.
  16. How are the Premier League not furious about this? The product they're selling is being eroded and replaced by us watching the ref press on his ear piece

  18. There's a subreddit with lots of graphs like this about Messi called /r/toprightmessi. I think soon there will be a /r/toprightgrealish
  19. Complete unknown this one. No idea who has been ill or how ill they've been. We could be full strength or bare bones. Really not looking forward to this one but that's mainly out of unfounded pessimism on how badly we've been affected based on nothing but the fact we've played really well almost every game so far and are due a disaster.
  20. I am admittedly biased in general but I can't even see an argument for anyone else being the best goalkeeper in the league so far this season
  21. Provided we only count the ones where he actually gets the shot in I think you might be right. His spurned chances seemed to mostly be from taking too long
