  1. Nah mate, Emery doesn’t know what he’s doing.
  2. Hahahaha FFS mate, get a grip! Emi Martinez, mentality monster who drinks the pressure of World Cup Final penalty shoot outs, has bottled Man City away. Funniest thing I’ve read all day.
  3. Hopefully whatever has happened to Martinez isn’t serious. This team can’t take many more injuries before there’s nothing left of it
  4. I think most people expected us to lose anyway, I’m not saying we will but I can understand resting key players for games we have more chance in. In the plus side, it might be fun seen what this version of Villa can do?
  5. Setanta Sports? Something like that, I remember subscribing to it on my free view box.
  6. He’s amazing, imagine what he could do for us with another couple of transfer windows and continued development and implementation of his ideas with this team. He’s already my favourite ever Villa manager.
  7. They were spot on with this, nailed it all apart from the £5 per game ppv. I guess even they didn’t expect inflation to be quite so severe. The second contributor, Alex Flynn, looks remarkably like someone else I know…
  8. I would absolutely love it if they went for Gerrard, even as an interim until someone else comes in. Imagine the smug little grin on his face as he talks about the history and culture of his beloved massive club. Only to then fall apart spectacularly in the first 10 games. They’d never go for him now, but boy would it be fun if they did.
  9. Other clubs are available. Although admittedly it’s increasingly difficult to get good money outside of the PL.
  10. I think they’ll come for us all guns blazing tonight, especially after their frustrating 0-0 against Arsenal. They are massive favourites but we know we are capable of beating them or indeed anyone when we get it right. The loss of Watkins could be massive for us, his finishing ability when we might not have a lot of chances (who’d have said that two years ago!), his pressing and relentless running, and his penchant for near post clearances from corners. But rather than fear the worst, I’m going in to this with excitement to see what Duran can do, he might just do something special and with Bailey and Diaby in good form, we can hurt them. Can’t wait to see how it plays out.
  11. Doesn’t matter too much what their fans want, it’s the players and manager that decide their motivations. Much as it would be great to think the team have given up on 4th, that won’t be the case at all. Spurs looked dejected coming off the pitch at West Ham not because they weren’t bothered. Anyway I still think we will make 4th, but it will be close and we have to expect that we’ll spend some time in 5th along the way and not wet ourselves with worry.
  12. Great to see spurs dropping points.
  13. West Ham seem like they’re holding their own, albeit I’m only reading the commentary. Hopefully they can skank another goal or two. COYI.
  14. While y’all are arguing and ignoring each other, nobody is asking why the fox seems to have its back end shaved… Was it Robbie Savage? I bet it was Robbie Savage.
  15. I didn’t watch all of it but they were terrible yesterday, it was only England’s second best striker’s poor finishing keeping them in it. Imagine my delight when I checked the score and saw Brentford had scored a very late equaliser to cancel out the traditional late manure undeserved fluke goal. Sweet justice. They're not finishing above Villa, no way.
  16. This bull shit… Its so disrespectful to Brighton.
  17. Toney’s finishing not so good today hey
  18. What happened? I fast forwarded half time and noticed Watkins didn’t come out. Hope it’s not a significant injury.
  19. Just finished watching after having to pause it at the start to deal with some family issues. Thought we delivered a professional performance without being amazing. Duran, Diaby and Zaniolo were excellent I thought, and a big shout out to Martinez for keeping us in it with that point blank save first half. Great result, keeps the momentum now for our run in.
  20. This is such awful news, such a great player and man, too young to be consumed by this terrible disease
  21. Great to see Ramsey back, I guess he’ll not be starting on Saturday but having him on for 20 mins is progress. Can be key for us in the remaining games.
  22. Exactly, we need to have some faith in Emery and his squad, they’ve certainly earned it since he came in. When the pressure was on this time last year we showed plenty of steel to win our way to 7th. We’ve been hit hard with injuries which goes some way to explaining our recent form of ‘only’ 1.63 ppg, but we’ve got every reason to believe that these lads will pull through and get there.
