  1. The eyes can only mean one thing! You're bringing it back!
  2. I would expect him to feature more in our ECL campaign, I’m sure we’ll find out whether his appearance clause is just premier league related or not then. I don’t think he’s an awful player, there’s potential there but I don’t think we have the luxury of playing him into form. Bear in mind it can take a season for a player to settle and perform at their best, and there’s no guarantees.
  3. Those two plus that Omar fella from the now deceased Villa Talks pod
  4. I really like Tanswell’s content and contributions, he’s very insightful and sees what we see. Ive stopped listening to the 1874 podcast as much now because I can’t stand hearing Gregg chatting shit in his half-arsed way. He’s harming Dan Bardell’s credibility in my view.
  5. I’d say Spurs. Man U are still a huge club and will find their way back to the top eventually. Spurs have never known the success that United have had. We have the chance to displace Spurs from the top six and replace them as regular European qualifiers.
  6. I live in Doncaster and I’ve never even heard of Doncaster FC, FFS
  7. **** man United, the jammiest team in the world. Will their luck run out this season? Don’t bet on it. Be nice if they can only finish 7th at best though.
  8. I’m not watching but does it seem at all possible Luton could equalise? They look like they’re holding their own from the stats.
  9. Why is it always Gary Neville co-commentating for manure?
  10. Not a good start from Luton. Best we can hope for now is a pile of injuries and red cards for United, and a Luton comeback, and an earthquake in Manchester destroying Old Trafford so they have to forfeit their remaining games. I did say the best we can hope for.
  11. I’ve got no problem with where Villa were in the running order, and I don’t think there’s a huge conspiracy against us. I think I just can’t stand Murphy, he’s rarely got owt good to say about Villa and he’s boring af.
  12. It was a terrible attempt at a tackle, like something from the 70’s. Sheff United can consider themselves unlucky to have that goal ruled out, it looks a fair goal to me. But then I have no sympathy as our goal against them should never have been ruled out.
  13. Really unlucky not to see that goal count. But great to see him returning to form, he’s looking like he’s getting his sharpness back along with Ramsey. Having those two and Digne back for the run in puts us in a much stronger position.
  14. I only skipped to the Villa bit on iPlayer this morning, more just to see what they’re saying. I can’t be watching the whole programme tbh.
  15. I thought the MOTD ‘analysis’ was piss poor! Murphy acknowledged our injuries at the back which is the bare minimum, no mention of who was out or how long for. The narrative was we scraped through and our performance wasn’t pretty, no discussion about the disallowed goals or penalty claim. Just rubbish really, but then I need to remember MOTD isn’t for the likes of us on here that consume football at a deeper level. It’s for the casual observer who probably can’t name a full 11 of any team.
  16. I really want Ollie to catch and beat Gabby’s record. I think he will too.
  17. He was excellent, the only reason he doesn’t always stand out is that he’s competing with Pau and Konsa for attention. As loan signings go he’s up there as one of the best we’ve had.
  18. His footwork lately is just obscene, always a threat and a joy to watch. Just wish Cash would put him through more often instead of cutting back. I know that’s the game plan and all but as an English football fan of 30 odd years I sometimes just want to see all out attack, attack, attack!
  19. I predicted we’d win 2-1. We won 2-1. My next prediction is that we will make the champions league places at the end of the season. We’ve got this
  20. Super sharp shooter! Well done Ollie, what a player!
  21. That’s exactly what we needed! Great effort from the lads and could/should have been more than two but Watkins took his goals so well. Villa win away, Spurs lose at home. Two points clear again in fourth. UTV!!
  22. 23 points would be fantastic for our title charge
  23. When push comes to shove, you’ll get over it.
  24. “The Club are giving the ‘Gift of Blues’” That’s a worse gift than the gift of HIV!
