  1. Lived in Telford for 28 years, moved to South Yorkshire to live with my fiancé 8 years ago. Never missed Telford once, best thing I ever did.
  2. We'll probably end up with Sschteve McLaren!
  3. I've got no problem with signing lower league players, IF they are the quality ones that perform for their clubs. We've signed too many that aren't even the best at their league 1 club! Westwood, Lowton, Stevens, Bennett, Bunn to name a few
  4. Bacuna.. No.. Westwood! No, erm Veretout... Erm yep absolutely no one! We're soon to be a championship team so he will come very much in handy. We just need to make sure there's a positive, motivated vibe around next years team so he can flourish. Easier said than done I know.
  5. Whatever he did, he didn't do it well. Maybe not all his fault as it seemed he was operating in a new role to him, it seems the board are making changes in the right direction. Time will tell and of course the leadership is only the start, but if they can get that right and follow up with backing for the manager, then maybe we can start to change things.
  6. Cracking goal! I'm quite looking forward to Gardner playing for us next season, hope he stays fit and cements a first team place.
  7. I'm getting carried away with myself! I'm in the hotel tomorrow, just wishing it was tonight I'm disappointed now.
  8. My daughter loves this game, she's not stopped talking about it since it was released. Now she's got it I haven't seen her in a week! I've a had an hour with her playing it and I must say it looks good. Plenty of map to explore and it's a good change from guns, missiles and the like.
  9. Just wanted to wish you lads that are going to walk out tonight good luck. I'm behind what you're doing and even if it doesn't make a difference this week, it could be the start of something bigger once it gains momentum. Simply doing nothing will achieve nothing. UTV and OTDO74! I'm off on holiday tomorrow so won't be joining you but as I'm in a hotel at the airport tonight I'll try and get a stream on my phone. About 74 minutes in will be when my misuss is getting pissed off with me watching it and I'll probably be walking out the hotel door on 74 and heading to the bar
  10. I might be way off the mark but I seem to think it came up whenLerner first wanted to sell and at the time it was what he'd paid for the club plus a chunk of what he'd put into it at that time. There was talk that he wanted to recoup what he'd spent. Might be wrong though, he probably spent more than that then.
  11. Don't worry, you'll get plenty of chances to see them next season
  12. It's difficult to judge him too harshly what with the current mess he's walked into. Someone else could have come in and done better, they might not though. Who knows what might have happened. I'm not completely convinced he's the right man for next season, however as long as the board fully back him to create his own team then I'm happy to give him the chance. I like him as a person, and I think he has potential to do very well. Not with this squad though.
  13. There's a decent player in there somewhere, wouldn't be disappointed to see him stay on and form part of a new midfield. He reminds me a bit of NRC.
  14. He would do well in a League 1 side, that's his level really. Not the kind of player we need and after the time he's had its clear he's not good enough for us. In the Premiership or the championship.
  15. Little Alan Wright to get another half volley from the edge of the box! And Guy Whittingham to come on at half time and score the winner
  16. Maybe Stoke will let us sneak a win just to be even more cruel to those remaining few (or is it two?) fans still hanging on to that thin shred of hope.
  17. Yet more evidence of the horrendous mis-management at our club. I wish it didn't make me angry but I'm feckin fuming!
  18. Good work Mike, I'm in the take-action camp too. Although I don't go to many games any more due to location, costs, family and work commitments, I still care very deeply about our club and I know that when my circumstances change in future, I will be going again. Simply doing nothing will achieve nothing, doing something might also achieve nothing. But it might just achieve something. And if that something means Randy is more likely to want to get out sooner, then that's a result. I can't get down to join in and I'm not on Twitter. However I can still raise awareness on the other forums I use and point my Villa supporting mates back home to this forum. Good luck in this venture, as it gains momentum there'll be many behind you.
  19. Good job I'm no threat then! A bit like Villa's strike force
  20. Thanks BOF, I feel my pitiful score has gone in my favour
  21. I'm shocked, absolutely shocked! I can't believe Stan Collymore wrote a book.
  22. I'm not sure any player is a fan of a club any way near to the way that we are. It's like when your non-football watching mate claims to support man united! Do they really care? I doubt it.
  23. How much is said dead horse being flogged for? And can he play up front?
  24. Although a full scale overhaul of the team, replacing them with the kids could spell disaster. I'd still like to see a few more given debuts between now and the end of the season. One or two a game would be OK. Give them some experience and let's see what they can do. I don't expect them to be amazing, I stopped believing that we have one of the best youth setups around a few years ago when we produced nobody of any star quality.
