I don't really want to watch it. Just gets my hopes up, and one of the following happens 1. We don't get him in, and if we do, 2. He'll end up like Tonev. More likely to end up like Benteke, as you'd agree if you were to bother to actually watch the video Mind you, that comes with its own heartache.

I admit I didn't realise he'd done quite so well. Still can't see him joining being a good thing. Would rather the place went to someone young and unknown, and season ticket buyers will probably agree. Maybe it comes down to price, wages and length of contract.

It would be amazing if we signed Adebayor. Our signings so far make absolute sense: Young, motivated players with huge potential. So signing an old, un-motivated player who hasn't had potential for at least six years would be amazing. Hope we don't.

Four words I'd like to see in newspapers a year from now: Liverpool flop Christian Benteke I'm probably a mean-spirited, small-minded shit, and I don't care.

Delph would have been bought for his passport too, and he knows it. I doubt he'd be on 60k more, 40k more sounds closer. And he'd be at the mercy of Man City using their limitless budget to bring in a midfield superstar to take his place in the queue. Money-wise it's a no-brainer, but it's a big, big risk football-wise, and who knows, maybe loyalty was even a small factor?

If Benteke doesn't get one of his "dream moves" he has only himself to blame. If he'd simply won us the FA Cup singlehandedly, someone would have coughed up the money by now.

From everything I have read, we would have to accept the bid. However I can't imagine that the staff members at Villa park will be rushing and running to make sure paper work goes through on time. I imagine the fax machine might be on the blink too Yeah I s'pose they could argue that their time was necessarily taken up finding a replacement, so sorry it couldn't be done in time and good day to you.
