Well it's one better than a two horse race To come to a team as big as villa in a relegation battle is a massive task. I would argue its the hardest job in the Premier League atm. We need someone who has experience of a relegation battle pressure. If we get the next new thing in and they lose the first few games they will wilt under the pressure. I suspect the next appointment will not be a glamorous one , it won't be universally popular but hopefully it will be enough to keep us up and get a new manager in the summer to push us on. Smith wouldn't have took us as low as we are now but he did need to go so we could get to the next level. Purslows timing was out and its out with Gerrard as well, both should have gone earlier, at a time we could have attracted a higher profile manager. We struggled last season and ended up Gerrard and the sames going to happen now, we will end up with a compromise. Purslow has failed on the football front ,unless we can attract Poch but I doubt it looking at where we are now.
